Some great looking builds so far guys!! Tonight I can finally add the badge to my signature because I am done!! I really wanted to take pics of this build on my Eduard Carrier Deck Base, but none of the lame LHS here in my area carry anything close to Deck Blue Sad [:(]...once I get that set up, I may replace these pics with those.

This is Monogram's Devastator done up in the scheme of George Gay- the only surviving member of Torpedo 8 from Hornet after the attacks at Midway.

Some close ups of the open panels surrounding the gunbay, as well as the twin .30 caliber machine guns-- these were only found on Hornet TBDs at the time of the attack...not that it did them much good...

And lastly a shot from the front showing off the torpedo nose art...

gettochild,

Excellent build and finish to your Zero.

Jeeves,

Excellent work on the TBD Devastator, the glasshouse looks good in the open position.

thanks guys
Jeeves the kit was nice to build. The only problem I had was with the landing gear, I dry fitted them and had no problem but when I mounted them they didn't want to line up rite. But I will build another. Jason

been changing my mind so many times as to what i want to do on this build..... I've built a CHIA-HA and it's painted (pics tomorrow).... Gonna be knocked out and burnt out with some Marines standing around it.... Depending on the size of the base I use, maybe a smaller USMC vehicle in with it? who knows...

Jason,

Great work on the Wildcat.

On another note:-
Here are some totally irrelivent pix, some are of poor quality, as they are wartime shots of RAAF birds.

Count me in. I'm building Revell's Lionfish kit, possibly OOB, possibly as USS Gato. It will be later this year and the choice ship will depend on my confidence, since Gato wil require a lot of scratchbuilding.

Tank looks good Geoff-really good. I didn't appriciate the work involved in armour until I did the Battle of the Bulge GB.

Geoff,

Excellent progress, can't wait to see this finished. [I built one some years back for a Museum].

I haven't made any further progress on any of my builds lately, to much admin work, but I'll get back to it soon enough.

Incidently Roy,

The Bismarck is almost completed, I'll post some shots for you soon.

i have a base i built and used for a different diorama last year.... recently I removed everything and would like to use it for this build.... It is a bridge.... the pic below. but would it be alright since the base was already built before the GB?

Geoff,

I have no objection to using the dio base. It looks good from the pic so far.

Here are a few pix [totally errelivent to the Pacific Theatre - this is a North African Campain bird], of what I completed and posted in the aircraft forum as 'Something Blue' another that I'm completing is the M-26 half of the Dragon Wagon, but the Trailer will be an M15A1, carrying the Pershing Tank.
