Nice work RobThumbs Up [tup]

Got some really nice builds going on here.

I haven't managed to start on my Zero yet, have to finish my 109 for the Ol Guns GB, and with Grand Finals on time is non existent.

But I reckon by the 20th, I'll be stuck into the Zero.
Should be an easyish build, gonne be OOB except for some PE flaps etc.
Should be fun!

no, it's the upper panels that run back to the seats.... I placed them wrong and so after taking them apart, i'll try to sand off the dried glue and reposition them, but i may just restart.... it's an easy kit that i just wasn't paying attention to at the time.

razor and lobbie, both looking great!!!!

i'm having issues with my GPA.... believe it or not, that little kit is giving me grief.... It all went swimmingly well until the end when I realized my placement on a couple parts was wrong....... I may just pick up another one and start again.....Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]

razor,

that's looking good so far, as for the aircraft, there to scale,[as with the Trumpeter 350 scale ship kits, their 350 scale aircraft are mini kits in themselves],

Folk's

The A20g progress so far.

Close up showing the holes drilled into the cockpit roof area

Close up showing the twin trailing antenia

It's middle blue nose.

Note:

to answer any questions relating to the antenia instalation on this bird, I use 40thou invisithread, which the rudder end has been drilled out which the thread is inserted, then glued with CA glue, the antenia mast end is also drilled out and the thread is pulled threw and then glued again with CA glue. when set the excess at the mast, is cut and the mast repainted.

Thought I'd throw in some pictures of the progress on the Essex so far. I just have to add a little bit of putty and then I can start putting on some PE. Need to get some more thin CA for that though. The flight deck and bridge assembly are not glued on of course.

The Hellcat is from an older model of the Saratoga that I did about 20 years ago (before I had ever heard about PE). The penny was included for scale reference. The photo below is for all you guys that complain 1/72 is toooooo small! the #11 xacto blade is pointing to the propeller for the new hellcats. Sorry for the blurry photo... or is it just my eyes that are getting blurry.

Have a good day all!

Dave

Hey everyone, great work so far!! I haven't started my B-29 yet, but hope to get started by the 1st of Jan.

Lobbie - very nice looking kits - I have the Havoc on my shelf and have wanted to pick up a few Japanese aircraft, the Jill looks like a good starting point!

Its not a problem at all. Is the 105mm in the kit the same as the old kit by italeri? I bet it is. I remember when I was building it, i misglued some parts attaching the 2 subassemblies, it was a pain to get apart. And ya ,theres alot of pieces.
Great looking build there lobbie!

I'll probably get to start this build sometime after christmas, since most likely i'll be getting the kit for Christmas.
