How many builds is that you've got going on at the moment Rob? I've counted 3 or 4 so far. They're all looking good I might add.

G'day folk's,

This Tamiya 1/50 Mitsubishi Type zero or 'Pete' I've progressed with now, don' t let the pix decieve you as the upper wing is only sitting on it's two outer mountings and the lower bracings have not been fitted, as I've toyed with the idea of adding the wing brace rigging to this bird.

The basic cockpit little or no detail in this area

::rolling eyes:: do the group builds never stop! I'll not give in to temptation! I am in the middle of 3 of them right now so I am thinking I might be a spectator on this one... got an SBD for the Naval Aviation one I am in the middle of, a RAF Wildcat for the BoB one with a Stuke or He111 as a second for that, then the Aussie GB with no idea what I am building for that...

yup.. think I'll just commentate and cheer yall on... ::desperately holding hand trembling to type "I'm in!" all over the message::
---Tom--- O' brave new world, That has such people in it!

I'd like to get in on this GB if I may. I have an older 1/32 scale Hasegawa "frank(?)" that would fit the bill nicely. I have also put Trumpeter's 1/32 Corsair on my Christmas wish list, and should have no problem finishing it up in time for the May 31st deadline. AAnd as if that weren't enough, I've had my eye on S&T's 120mm USMC figure from WW II, and it's beauty. So please sign me up. I just can't seem to get enough of these badges.

tanker,

this is my DUKW built to about 80% complete, the tarp cover I have is from the Dodge WC-63 1 1/2 ton 6x6 Skybow kit [which is now released under AFV Club], the DUKW is an excellent kit, I have a pic somewhere of one that a friend had built with a crane boom on the back.

Folk's,

A little more has been done to 'Jill'

The gap between std wing root and fuselage has been filled with testors white glue, this ellimenates the use of filler and scribing once sanded.

The bronze/copper and gold appearences on the detail of this enginge are from ink pens and drawn onto the areas to highlight them.

Okay guys, I changed the badge and used Daniel's faded background. I think its a keeper! Besides, I want to get off the computer and get some modeling done.

Pingtang: good idea to fade the background but I would like to fade the background without fading the planes or the text. That way they will really pop out. I'm at work right now but will take a shot when I get home tonight. BTW, how did you achieve that weathered look? Cheers!

Lobbie: Jill is really starting to take shape. Looking good!!

I've just had a bit of a fiddle around with razors badge (hope you don't mind mate) and came up with this:

I think it gives it a faded and weathered look, which to me doesn't look too bad. It also helps the corsair stand out a bit more, it was a bit dark on razors one. It also adds a bit more interest to the badge. Hope you like it.

Tankergeoff, you'd be most welcome to join in on this, it's not confined to aircraft only, your anphib jeep would fit in well.

I like your badge razor, it's a bit more interesting than mine. I don't have much image editting software so it's good that you could take it and spruce it up a bit. And I can take some credit for it. I'm gonna stick it in my sig now and see how it looks. good work.

G'day Folk's,

I've done more to the Nakajima B6N2 Tenzan 'Jill' this is a Hasegawa kit and the following shots show just what the cockpit tub was like.

Notice in the air intake I have fitted a brass mesh screen.

Hey Daniel, hope you don't mind but I took a shot at sprucing up the badge a little bit. Well... I intended to just add a background but I got a little carried away and to make it work I had to change more than just the background. Sorry everyone, there are still no ships or tanks.

Crap... another night shot and no actual model building done. Oh Well, there is always tomorrow!

Well i opened the box finally on the P-38. i'm impressed by the detail in the cockpit and gun bay in this Monogram kit. The gear bays and engine intakes need some detail work, but for the most part not bad. i'll start painting and building the cockpit tomorrow. I was on-line getting a few more pics and just checking through the kit tonight.

Daniel,

The A20g is the old AMT kit in 48, this kit is now released by Italeri, which has an RAAF 22 Sqn option on the kit decal sheet for DU-C. the raft is an old resin sideline that would enhance the cockpit a little.

Thanks also for the badge, that concept of oposing aircraft looks good
