since i didn't botch the Kate cockpit completely, i'm going for the open canopy option...
boy was it tedious dipping all those different bits in future, watching the blobs appear, dipping them in again, making the same mistake, dipping, getting mad, dipping, getting mad....(i'm sure i'm turning into Homer Simpson!![:0])

Wink [;)]
Kind regards, Nicholas

can anyone tell me if the M18 hellcat tank destroyers were used in the Pacific? I'm getting one for Christmas and if accurate i'd like to build a pacific hellcat. but i don't know if they were deployed in the pacific.

cossack,

You'd be welcome to join in this GB, your subject choice will add variety.

Guy's,

A mug shot of Rob [aka Lobbie] has been posted on the first page as a bet, if you think it should be removed let me know, the bet is with one of my Scale Magic co Founder's, not known to the forum. It's an Xmas thing.

Here is my Tamiya 1/48 J2/M3 Interceptor Raiden (Jack) OOB. Not much detail in the pit area, decales were lame Black Eye [B)]but other than that she was a easy build. I did some weathering but Im not that good at it so dont look close.Big Smile [:D]

Joe,

Progressing on this build well, your 'added' detail, makes a little difference and looks good so far, can't wait to see this one done.

Thad,

Excellent build, [I know the kit, have one 'somewhere'], what do you mean your not good at it, weathering on your model looks fine to me.

NOTE:
Here is something relating to weathering that was built for the RAAF's Officer Training School, the OTS Liason Officer convinced me to enter this in an open competition, it was never judged, in that competition. - it has been posted on the forum earlier this year.

This is the wartime photo that the RAAF gave me to build their 48 scale Catalina into

These two pix are my interpretation of the B+W photo into the replicatiom of the model
