hello after a long absence!

finally finished my Kate!! i will post the pics over on the main aircraft forum in a minute...

i've been putting off doing the panel wash for ages and felt a bit stale, but i'm fairly pleased with how she turned out, although i'm not sure i'd make the kit again: too much effort, too little reward.

thanks,

Nicholas
Kind regards, Nicholas

I already asked and the current GB are okay as long as you sig doesn't exceed the 330x200 72dpi limit! So no worries for your sig yet cdclukey unless you're planning on adding a lot more GB badges real soon! Big Smile [:D]

I think Tankergeoff will get a letter from Mr. Jeff Herne before too long though Clown [:o)]!

Just a note, folks: According to the new guidelines, the badge needs to be about half the size it is now. Maybe we could make badges representing each nation and modelers could select the one appropriate to their build? By "we," I mean somebody else, because I don't have any good graphics software. :-D

G'day,

I had taken a break from the model scene, due to my lady friend and her present project, it was interesting to help on this venture and is a subject I enjoyed helping with the business plan and setting up the program.

I'm back into the model building again with a substancail increase in the RAAF project, onother 9 have been added to the work load with a higher prioriey [I supose this is what happens when they put a pilot behind a desk], some of these are "WHAT IF" but one in particular is a 1/200 of the Wdgetail, I'm waiting on the photo's of this new RAAF bird because we'd have to make up the resin components for the modifications.

Wedgetail is the RAAF's name for the new 737 AWACS.

Geoff,

I have no objection to using the dio base. It looks good from the pic so far.

Here are a few pix [totally errelivent to the Pacific Theatre - this is a North African Campain bird], of what I completed and posted in the aircraft forum as 'Something Blue' another that I'm completing is the M-26 half of the Dragon Wagon, but the Trailer will be an M15A1, carrying the Pershing Tank.

Geoff,

Excellent progress, can't wait to see this finished. [I built one some years back for a Museum].

I haven't made any further progress on any of my builds lately, to much admin work, but I'll get back to it soon enough.

Incidently Roy,

The Bismarck is almost completed, I'll post some shots for you soon.

Tank looks good Geoff-really good. I didn't appriciate the work involved in armour until I did the Battle of the Bulge GB.

Count me in. I'm building Revell's Lionfish kit, possibly OOB, possibly as USS Gato. It will be later this year and the choice ship will depend on my confidence, since Gato wil require a lot of scratchbuilding.

Jason,

Great work on the Wildcat.

On another note:-
Here are some totally irrelivent pix, some are of poor quality, as they are wartime shots of RAAF birds.

been changing my mind so many times as to what i want to do on this build..... I've built a CHIA-HA and it's painted (pics tomorrow).... Gonna be knocked out and burnt out with some Marines standing around it.... Depending on the size of the base I use, maybe a smaller USMC vehicle in with it? who knows...

thanks guys
Jeeves the kit was nice to build. The only problem I had was with the landing gear, I dry fitted them and had no problem but when I mounted them they didn't want to line up rite. But I will build another. Jason
