Caine,
If I can find a Super Guppy this weekend, I'd like to add this aircraft in your build. I took this at Ellington Field last Oct and was very impressed with the size of it. I'm going to be in the area of NASA this weekend and hopefully be able to find this bird.

If this goes till the end of the year, I may be interested. I have some X-planes and a 1/72 Hasegawa F-104G NASA Starfighter. I got a bunch of other GB's going on at the moment, though. I will let you know! - Calvin

Eagle, glad to have you join us. The F-104 sounds good, and if you are almost finished, I can't wait to see the results. Gilmund, glad to see the badge is working for you.

I'll be trying to get around to starting my 1/48 T-38 sometime in the next month. I've got a lot going on the next few weeks and several models in the queue ahead of this one, but it will come with time.

Can I use the one I have almost finished? It's a 1/72nd scale F-104 by Hasegawa.

I have updated the jpeg with a "web safe" version and included a GIF version if it doesn't work. By the way, can you see my signature badges? Or are they red Xs as well?

I got a red x insted of a badgeSad [:(]

Caine - I agree that you have to set up a goal, I didn´t exactly mean "open ended". The X-15 is only available on ebay from were I´m sitting, so if I get a kit in time, count me in!!Smile [:)]

I'll be in with Hasagawa's 1/200 B-52H done up like NASA's newest mothership. It will be a little while until I start it though.

NASA Aviation Group Build 2005
Posted by caine on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 7:22 PM
Hey all!
Welcome to the NASA Aviation Group Build for 2005. Sign - Welcome [#welcome]
This GB is intended to bring together all of you who are interested in building models of NASA's own extensive 'Airforce'. Since several people have expressed interest but have already committed to countless other GBs, I have decided this one will last through the end of the year 2005 to improve participation. Approve [^]

So what is considered a valide subject? Simply put, any aircraft ever flown in NASA (or even NACA) markings. I have decided to allow any of the X-Planes, fixed winged, rotary winged (helos) and any other type of crazy winged things NASA has developed over the years. This GB is intended to be a look at NASA aviation, not their spacecraft, so we will exclude the space shuttle or any of its space fairing cousins.

Here is the GB Badge, fitting the new badge requirements put forth by FSM staff. I have provided both jpeg and gif formats.

So come join the fun and jump in any time you like!

And remember what the first 'A' in NASA stands for... Cool [8D]
