Karl - actually I am enjoying it quite a bit OOB, I do have a resin seat with belts on order but not sure if I can wait for it as I am having a lot of fun with this one...

Engine details are nice, I sprayed it with MM Burnt Metal and polished the cylinder sleeves, leaving the cooling fins on the cylinder dull, after it cures I plan to seal it and give it a 80% black, 20% burnt umber wash to bring out the fins some.

The cockpit IS a little sparse, my local craft store is having a 50% off everything sale starting tomorrow so I will probably stop by there and pick up another one and order the cockpit for it.

I dry fitted the fuselage halves and looks like there will be next to no putty on this one... sanding looks minor too.

All in all the kit doesn't look like it will take too long to build as there really isn't a lot of parts, if you go AM with the cockpit I daresay that would take you longer to assemble than the kit. But all in all the detail is crisp and looks like it will build into an impressive aircraft. Oh... and the canopy area is rather large so I have the feeling qa lot of the interior detail will be visible. Once I close the fuselage I will let you know how visible the instrument panel is as Waldron has a dandy set for the FW-190 A8... very realistic gauges and knobs!!! I was pondering doing a second one of these maybe in a D9 and add the instrument panel at least..

Tom I'm in the same boat with the 109D.

Started it as a non-GB quickie build after the Hurricane for the BoB GB, and as light relief to the MS406. It's proving to be a great build, too great a build seeing as I've spent way more time on that than the MS406 or the Semovente.

How are you finding the Hasa 190? I was looking at the AM for it, particularly decals, as an alternative to a Panther for the BFGGB.

Having said that, I've just finished the base coat on the Semovente, just the wheels and details to do next.....

.......not the most inspiring of camo jobs, hence the pre & post shading.

Karl - I knew she mentioned something about a new business venture .. hmmmyou may be on to something... she always wanted to be headmistress... now's her chance!

Tweety - know the feeling, I posted it in the Midway GB but I recently went through the same thing, the in-lwas had totally stuffed everything up..... then realized I stuffed my Zero a bit on painting so put it back in the box and now took up.. (looking to make sure the GB police aren't looking) a non-GB project, the Hasa 1/32 FW190-A8... and loving it!

Still no sign of my new airbrush, but must be patient, I hear it's a virtue or some rubbish like that.....

Kremps School for Delinquent Canines?

Has she thought about delinquent kids at all?

Mike Nice looking Hurricane.

Still painting the Semovente,..................just too many wheels! And they're all too small!

Apart from that, it's getting there, unlike the MS406......

good to hear that yg! I remember me and my dad modeling when I was younger... I especially liked when he was building something for himself and I could sit there and watch him... I don't know how he did it but he built them without fingerprints on the canopies and paint.. somehow none of the parts got lost either.. Wink [;)] enjoy! you'll have a lot to look back on when you get older!

Rick - we just had yellow watermelon and all the doggies got a small piece of it.. so he has to wait for later for treats... Tito got in trouble because he literally ran from bowl to bowl snapping up the others piece the first time around... I told him Kremps would be by later to discipline him and he has been sulking in his bed ever since.

Kremps has been keeping me busy remodeling her massage parlor/home office Tanky... she's decided early Victorian is the way to go with her but I tried to warn her it was a little stuffy for the type of business she runs... I found out she caters to the 60 yr old and up crowd though so maybe she was right...

Sadly Tanky, I can't go due to my wife being ill. Nothing real serious, but she has difficulty walking because of a Siatic nerve problem in her back side. She's in physical therapy & should recover in a few weeks, but I'll need to stay home & take care of her & the dog.

Any of y'all going to the Nats? I know most of you are Aussies (with a couple Inglanders and a texan thrown in) but you could come anyway.....

Rick, you said you were going didn't you?

Tanky, oddly enough, me also. I like to do a Fantasy Figure every once in a while as a break from more serious modeling. I got hooked on them a few years back when I was trying to get my Grandsons interested in modeling. Taught them how to paint using Fantasy & Dinosaurs. They lost interest, but I kept on going with the Fantasy Figs.

Figure kits that look awesome... too bad the elephant is so expensive...

I'l be on the look out for these at the nationals. I've always wanted to try figure painting. Browsing the figure forums I have seen some awesome work. Oddly enough (considering my other interests in modeling) I am more interested in the fantasy and dragon type figures...

LOL Tanky.

Haven't done anything on my Hs-129B-1 for a while. Cleaning up a couple of other builds. That & the lure of the local Golf Courses Smile [:)]. But should be able to get going again soon.

Oh I can see it now.........the worlds first air recognition thong!!!!!!

How low would you have to fly to confirm that target was in fact friendly?

Still definitely no concealed weapons!Wink [;)]

Do you think Victoria's Secrets would stock it?

Well, I dunno, it would give some good practice with painting skin tones for other - more important figures... hehe.

Well, anyway. thats what the nationals and scret midnight work sessions are for anyway. Big Smile [:D]

Hmmm, I'm trying to figure out my next project. I have 2 half finished ones fw-190 and T-90 but after those 2 I'm not sure. I seem to be drifting away from the world of aircraft modeling though. Disapprove [V] I lean towardsa armour and figures now. But not to worry I still have plenty of AC left to do. I have never done a figure yet, but I kinda want to buy that verona warrior figure from SOL. I'm just not entirely sure the mother would approve...

Looks great jeeves! Sorry I haven't been hanging around here much now that i'm done...

My Trumpeter Hind came today! What a beautiful kit! Probably not in the ususal line of building for you guys, but I would reccomend it. I'm on the look out for AM for it when I go to the nationals. To top it all off greatmodels raised the price to 97$ today, which made me really happy. I got it for 65! Big Smile [:D]
