::rolling eyes:: here comes the battery charging thing again haha...

I got some progres done today, the fuselage is complete on the Spit, the Vokes is on, 90% of sanding done and I am waiting on the future to cure on the canopy (I know... I know... I should have Futured them when I opened the box but I was impatient)

I will take some pics in the morning probably as I am feeling too lazy today. We switched to 10 hour shifts and it is taking some adjustment. Especially as I am currently assisting in cleaning up the armhole of the computer world and the technician assigned there is not only a moron, but a moron who like to argue stupid points.... (I guess that is particular to morons in general though)

Till tomorrow!

Checking my references shows no Spitfire Mk II's in the North Africa campaign. Earliest & most common was the MkVb & most were fitted with the Tropical air filter.

Great Tanky!!! Hey... I heard Kremps came to your school today.. how did it go? She mentioned something on giving a presentation of proper adolescent foot care when living in tropical jungles. I think she calls it "Foot Rot for the Tots"

Progress oges well with my 109. I'll probably just post pics when I'm finished painting. Which should be soon.

Probably the majority of the Spits there were Mk.V's, but maybe some of the more knowledgable of the campaign can answer that better for you.

Spitfires were flown by the British, Australians, Canadians, New Zealanders and even the US in the North Africa campaign against the Nazi's... os there's lots of subject matter you can choose from for this GB! In fact Hasegawa makes a USAAF Spit in North Africa colors, as well as a RAF Spit with the sand filter intake, marked for N. Africa as well. You wouldn't have to go looking for decals that way.. (both are 1/48)

---edit---

what little research I did shows only the Mk.Vb, Vc and Mk.IX's in N. Africa

John Stunning looking build!

The detail is amazing, what paints did you use?

Progress Update

Well, it's had a coat or 2 of primer, and is looking very white. However it has also shown up all the little bits which need further attention before I can proceed with paint work.

Probably won't do anything more till the weekend, as I'm chilling out with the Academy 109D at the moment.

Currently on the bench: AZ Models 1/72 Mig 17PF

Hey guys!

Here's an update on my 1/16 Rommel. I decided to make a little vignette of our man with a 40 gallon steel drum, a map and a coffee mug.

Here's a look at the composition, main work should start later this week...

Cheers
Quintin
