No. I've been observing the naval bases I saw while I was in St. Petersburg...

Oh yeah, Tom, thats something much better.

Anyway for all those who want some pretty good pics (if I do say so myself) of museum aircraft, check out my photobucket page.

The pass word is 'modeler'.
Pay no attention to the swack of pics of builds-in-progress and the handsome devil, there are four albums for your viewing pleasure. I apologise in advance for some of the pics as the areas were behind plexiglass (Several in the Boly and Lanc. It was a sunny day for the boly pics and even when I took the flash off, there were still lots of reflections.

If anyone is interested I still have pics of an Anson Mk2, Harvard (postwar) and a Barkley Grow. I could put them on this website if you want them

Harrowbeer no problems and welcome to the build and any chance of a first name?

Jay same as everyone else re your photobucket. Also I'd be in for an Aces GB as long as I could combine it with the Aces of the Eight GB.

I've got a lazy $6.25 AUD that’s not doing anything at the moment, bring on that sub!!!!

In my wallet at the moment, I have; $23.75, a scratchie with $5 on it (big win I know....), a button and two guitar picks........I'd love to donate it to you, but it's probably all worth $6 CDN (including $2 for the button and picks Wink [;)]) Now, I can't be bothered to load up the last page (takes too long on my dial-up connection), so I'd appreciate it if someone would fill me in on what we're buying.

Daniel I know how you feel, I only recently switched to broad band a couple of months ago and boy it makes a huge difference, especially on this site which is usually a bit slower than normal.

Sean it's still on layby at the LHS, $90 is a tad more than I can handle in one hit but I've had a close look at it at it a couple of times and the styrene seems cleanly molded with nice crisp details and there was no flash that I could see. The resin looks good with no obvious flaws and the PE set looks just fine. The kit is the 1/72 MPM Special Navy U-Boat Type XXIII, here is a link to a brief preview (it's at the bottom the page) http://kits.kitreview.com/mpmpreviewbg_9.htm

Jules guilty on that count I'm afraid Big Smile [:D]

Karl 7:49!!!! Is that in the morning or the evening? Either way, what the heck are you doing at work at 10 to 8?

Cheers

Darren That would definitely be in the AM!!!!

I've got a 50 mile commute into work, so I start early at 07.30 before the traffic picks up. Having said, that I'm usually out of the door again 16.30 on my way home.

And yes I am posting at work again{b]Jules[/b]!. One of the benefits of working in IT.

Razordws: Yeah Leningrad was pretty cool. We saw a whole bunch of cool stuff, and i got to visit the Leningrad artillery museum; where of course i took hundreds of photos... We saw a naval base with russian subs rotting at the docks and no guards in sight. And we saw russian soldiers holding akm carbines and ak-74s's and lotsa cool stuff. And when we were in helsinki (finland) they were having fleet week, so ships from navies all over europe were there- it was really cool.

Uh-Oh, you mean when I got resin engines for my Beaufighter, I wasn't allowed to? gulp! I hope no one finds out ...uhm...er...DOH! Shock [:O]

Ha Ha, but seriously though, I will deffinitely be getting them puppies again for other models, great detail. I have to show you, the only thing is the engines were painted black and even with some dry brushing it is kinda dark inside the engine nacelles at 1:72 and you can't see much. Disapprove [V] They are 110% better than before though!

I haven't painted the engines in this before and after pic (obviously).

Jay congrats on your bright and shiny new star Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]. Just think only 7500 (or so) more posts and you'll be up with Rick.
The password works just fine now thanks, I really like your pics of the Lanc btw.
The resin engines do look very nice, I assume it's your Beaufighter but what kit are you using?

Tanky have you got some of those photos posted somewhere we can all check them out?

Karl I couldn't agree more. If they didn't want me to post they shouldn't have given me Internet access.

Cheers
