Well here is my progress thus far. The tracks are on, a little bit of weatehring ahs been done and just needs a tad more weathering to be completed. Hopefully you can see the weathering around the hatches and turret.

I should mention that a few small pieces either broke or flew off into never never land. Mainly two head lights. Oh well.

ddayomaha thanks. Nothing wrong with being delayed!! I love the Marder III. I am currently building a 234/1. So when I dont work on it, I have been working on the Sherman.

To all,

Here is tonight's progress. I still have a lot of detail work to do but everything is on minus the fenders and tracks. They should be done tomorrow. I did test fit the tracks and of course they are a wee bit short. Dont know what I am going to do yet. Well here it is.

Hope everyone is doing great!

Well here is my progress so far. Frsotygirl was correct.....part 19 doesnt fit. I am working on puttying it now. I just took a break to post some photos. Except for part 19, it has been an easy build.

thanks guys.... as you notice the roadwheels are mixed up. In the field, as the crews were resupplied, they got what they got and it was very common to see some of the veteran vehicles with mix-matched wheels......

the italeri sherman in 1/72 is nowhere near the worst...
that honor is reserved 4 the airfix version IMHO, it looked so awful
in the box that i couldn't bring myself 2 put it together. maybe i'll use
it as a burned-out hull in a dio someday...
re: italeri M4 kit, i have built this kit a couple of times & the transmission cover
(part # 19) is installed upside down from the way it is shown in the instructions.
if u put it on the way they say 2, the upper hull won't fit w/o some cutting & filing,
but if u flip it over, it fits perfectly.
just trying 2 save u some extra hassles...

ok..... but before you put in your answer to me i attached the bogies to the hull...... so that's where i am at until monday. you want a pic, i'll post it now and again monday. if anyone objects to my mistaken early start, i'll gladly bow out. it's a great kit, can't help myself.
