Dave - nice job on the u-boat

Mike - well done on that engine

Plastic has finally met glue on the He-115.  This is going to be a straight OOB build.  The cockpit took about 17 seconds to build.... 1 floor and 3 seats.  the most Imay do to thi9s is rescribe the rasied panel line...maybe.

OK-- finally some progress-- the painting took a while-- after I finished the white and let it cure, I decided to Future it so that the white wouldn't pull up when I masked and that seemed to work pretty well.

And a shot of the engine:

The other night, I masked off the dive flaps and sprayed them with Future-- then last night sprayed the insignia red-- having sprayed the Future first sealed off the edges of the holes in the flaps so I didn't get bleedthrough of red onto my white and gull gray outer surfaces-- so that worked well.  More to come soon...

PS Tom DROOL IS BAD FOR THE KEYBOARD! ! ! !

ACE??? you were NEVER an ace AN ace HOLE maybe! (Lister to Rimmer on BBC's RED DWARF) Chris"Hey GRAVITY still works"Gray

We may not be able to sink it, but we're sure going to harrass the heck out of it!  Wink [;)]  Although as it stands right now, you won't have to worry about my Helldiver for a bit as the progress is slow while I finish up 2 other GBs.

Thanks every one for the kind words. hillybilly hate to break it to you you cant sink the U-Boat. It surrendered to the HMS Fitzroy in 1945 here is a link http://www.desausa.org/images3/surrender_of_u_826_to_fitzroy.htm . U-826 is not known to have lost any men.

Well, I got myself sort of caught up in the BoG GB so it’s time to do the same thing here.

First… progress… none…BUT, I am almost done with my Jug for the P-47 GB so I may actually get to start this one before it’s over.Party [party]

Mike – The SBD looks good, looking forward to more pics

Rex – Ouch on the finger but if that is the price for the work on the boat it may be worth it…looks great.

Solid – your wood models never cease to amaze.

Chris – Nice work on the twin Vickers… wow are they tiny.  The Wildcatfish is pretty cool… is that Tom I hear hyper-ventilating in the background?

David - nice work on the U-boat

Chris - that sure would look good sitting next to my Martlets!!  I saw a kit for one somewhere I believe, or maybe it was a conversion set... that is a possibility one day!  Thanks for the pic!!!  ::nervous twitch from fringe overdose lately::

David - looking good!  I might have to check out one of those kits one day... I'd like to do a sub but the 1/72 ones are a bit big for living quarters right now...

No progress here, got stumped on my Do335 for the BoG GB so slow going...

That U Boat looks nice, can't wait to see it painted!

Too bad my SB2C-4 Helldiver is going to have to send it to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean!  Better sink as many ships as you can with it while you have the chance, you have a head start on me!  Wink [;)]   Laugh [(-D]

DAVE the drums were thin slices of sprue that i sanded and used a thin slice of strip styrene to represent the straps that were used to remove the drums the barrels and gas cylinders( which cant be seen from this angle unfortunatly they're under the barrels ) are thin brass wire the crossbrace between the barrels is streched sprue. i hope to have some pics of the waist gunner/observer stations soon

Thanks Rick.  I've checked it out before, but it was quite a while ago.  I just need to take a deep breath and tackle the P.E. then the rest should be easy.
