christmas spirit flyes through chile! the commerce chamber signed with all the great malls of chile a good will document that makes all the affiliated malls close at 10:00 pm instead of 11:00 or 12:00 pm as some malls do to give the workers more time to be with their families. but i know how chilean bussines men are. and as i supposed, they broke the good will document. looks like this people just wanna have more money. shame on them! its a pity that this workers who only are trying to give their families a good chistmas accepted work extra hours for a little add in their payments.

To help us pass the remaining 7 days, here is something for all of us to focus on.  I must thank my father-in-law for sending me this one....

Holiday Eating Tips   Big Smile [:D] To be followed as much as humanly possible (and then some).

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!   Big Smile [:D]

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Big Smile [:D] Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert?  Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. Disapprove [V] I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention.  Try again.

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" Big Smile [:D]

I love it! Those are great.

I always make sure if we go to a Christmas party that we carry some sort of sausage and cheese, just in case no one else does.

And I am not above stuffing food into my pockets if it's in short supply and going fast. Just make sure you stuff a ziploc bag in before you leave home!

Hey guys this GB posting has been quiet - Are ya'll being good? Stay away from that brightly wrapped present sent to you by a fellow modeller. Quit wondering about wether it is an MPM. Tamiya, Hasegawa, Revell, Eduard or other manufacturer's kit. How many engines does it have? Wonder wonder wonder.....Don't shake that box! You might damage the pe parts if it has any.

Enough gas on the fire, hehehehehe. I am off to Texas for a few days to see my Mom and Dad. Merry Christmas to all and may ya'll have a blessed new year.

Cheers Make a Toast [#toast],

Have a safe travel.  We are in the starting stages of a Christmas Blizzard here in Denver.  Should have almost 3' of snow by dinner Thursday.

You get to open your gift on Christmas don't you?

This will be a hard and fast trip as we are leaving on Christmas Eve so as to be back with wifey on Christams Day. I think my sanity may be a quart low. Wifey will post photos of the SSGB present on the day of opening.

Thank you Mist086!!Party [party] As I tell everyone I 'm still 29 & holdin'Whistling [:-^] but, in actuallity, I just turned 41Sigh [sigh]

Funny thing happened today on the way to the forums.....

The mailman dropped off a small package (4" x4" x2") from Rob (Smokingun3) I wasn't sure if it was the present from my SS or not so, I called Rob to make sure if that was what is was or not! I looked all over it to see if it had any notations on it for the SS G/B or, Do Not open till Xmas... and since I didn't see any such thing, I called before doing anything.

Come to find out  it wasn't my SS packageSad [:(]Sigh [sigh] BUT, something just as special...

Now I just have to figure out how to use it!!Banged Head [banghead]

Thanks Rob!!!Approve [^]Tongue [:P]

Merry Christmas to all!!

Oh, and Jon, You were hoping to make this a joyful Christmas... well, It's turning out pretty good for me! Thanks Y'all!!

That eternal thing that modellers need: time!  On Christmas day?  Let me see, in the morning I take my mother to the airport (she's flying to America, NJ, to see my sister), then afternoon seeing my Godson and family, then evening with my gf.  In short...no time!
