no progs on the SR-71 yet. will get the latest pics updated ASAP. need new batteries. my camera is an energy hog. I dunno why a few shots on macro takes so much electricity

im building the Arii corsair ATM, just to get away from all the scribing. Big Smile [:D]

Hello everyone.

You guys really are doing some fantastic work here.

And just trying to keep up with all of the posts I've been receiving has been a challenge.

And like a foolish beginner, I joined 4 different GBs without ever doing so in the pastSign - Oops [#oops]

And without knowing the protocal for posting pictures, I had gotten quite a bit done before i started to take some pictures.

Oh ya, I'm building a 1/48 B-25J in the markings of the Air Apaches.

I will do better in the future to keep my progress more up to date.

As you might be able to see by some of the first pics, I have weighted the nose down with a mixture of bird shot and epoxy glue. It just so happens that there is a perfect place just below the flight deck to add the weight.

I also used the hook thats screwed into the firewall as a handle during paint.

I am just finishing the top turret, and hopefully will have it on by this weekend and I can get this one decaled and finished.

As you can see, I don't weather my planes, rather, I build them as they would be today, as highly polished warbirds...its the easy way out, I guess.

USAF   outstanding job on the B25J!! Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup]  I agree with ya without weathering still will make the warbirds look hot and ready for some action Big Smile [:D]  and how to hold the any airplanes weight down?  I used to have that problem when i was younger  never quiet figure out how to hold it down.  I just leave it with the nose up Sign - With Stupid [#wstupid] lol  at least it do make it looks like its taking off  Laugh [(-D]

USAF nice work on the B-25. Looks like it's going to be a good clean build.

F-106 has paint applied. While it's drying I decided to start a pair of Revell P-51D's in 1/48. I've got so many P-51 schemes I want to do I decided to do 2 at once.
I've got the cockpits done so far.

When in doubt just build it. Mark http://www.ipmslivonia.org/ipms/

Because you build faster than me.Sigh [sigh]

If someone told me I would be rescribing panel lines for ten hours, I would have told him to seek therapy.Whistling [:-^] I've been rescribing for longer than that so i should be commited.Evil [}:)] I still have about three hours of panel lines to finish on the Delta Dart Disapprove [V] But then hahaha I will be able to get the glue out.Cool [8D]

Well, I was all ready to start putting the decals on tonight, but when they hit the water, they broke up...unusableSad [:(]

Luckily I found a sourse for some aftermarket decals that will allow my to keep with the current paint schemeApprove [^]

I did get the top turret, forward crew boarding hatch on and the cowling anti-glare panels painted.

So I'll be on hold until I receive the replacement decals though the mail.

Time to get going on some of my other GB projects.

Great progress all,

My Titanic is prgressing vvveeerrryyy slowly.  I feel like I hit an iceberg.Black Eye [B)]  I was trying to paint (with brush) the bulkheads and such on the decks white but it kept flowing into all the corners and making a real mess.  I think I may have to spend an agravating amount of time masking all the white bits from the deck tan and giving the areas that should be white a shot with the AB.  grrrr... gotta love Revellogram.Sigh [sigh]  This is going to take a bit longer, lucky there's another 11 months till the deadline Yippee! On the other hand, the hull is sanded and ready for paint.

I can't look at the pics cos I'm on a school computer now, but I'm sure they are all amazing and will lower my morale. Big Smile [:D]

jboutin- maybe you should try thicker white paint, or maybe stir the paintbottle more. i find that whites tend to do that even through an airbrush if not mixed properly.

Leon sorry about the decals but the plane is looking great so far.

Airmaster nice job on the pilot figure.

First of all, nice work everyone! Bow [bow]

Attached are the photos of my now completed Kyle Petty 1981 Buick Regal.  As I went into my tale of woe a few pages back, the blue was all airbrushed over the red.  The white outlines around the blue are from the kit decals.  I am also including pictures of the cockpit and the fuselage and fuel tanks for the recently re-released 1/72 X-15 that I will work along with my Richard Petty car (from the two-kit set I displayed in one of my early posts).  As always, I am open for any and all questions and comments.

The plane is looking great, but that pilot is due for an Article 15.  His mustache is definately NOT within AFR 35-10 limits.
