I tried out the armorWhistling [:-^] builders new favorite tactic- dot filtering. It worked pretty well. makes it look streaky and some of it stays in the panel lines too. However, the pictures dont show the green bits that wouldnt go away. I suggest just using "dirty" colors like black, brown, and gray. A bit of blue for Navy planes, and maybe some green or yellow for OD finishes.

Guns of Nav was a novel with a semi bit of cred. Just good fun.

Bondo I think that was Force 10 from Naverone. A sequal of sorts with Han Solo?  They jump outta a burning something or other I believe into Czechoslovokia and the Partisan war there.

She got the Academy 1/48 F4U-1D with the Gregory Boyington Markings white 86. Very nice kit. Has separate wing flaps and open cowling vent options.  I want her to take a pic with it but can't get her out of the flannel Jammies! I dislike flannel Jammies. She has some with the Grinch on them of all things!

Faux poi? Sounds like an exotic facial cream that is supposed to attract women! No wonder Nam is using it! Pherimones and all that stuff.

Did you say your coming to Texas?

Nam the guns of Naverone! Cool Movie was it based on a true story?

Dee have some more merlot we need a picture!

Spiffy Sean! I like that old Devestator kit! I always thought it was a classic and looks cool all built up!  Did that one come with the book? I was always curious about it?

I was still trying to figure out who gifted who and who was the receipiates Bondo!  Bout the only ones That stuck with me was Frank to Nam and Nam to you but that is cuz he is a forpoi something. Also I know lewbud sent me my excellent goodies. Sooner or later I probably should send my SS gift out before the Christmas trees get taken down...... ( just joking Roy! Geeze! )

My recipient is Simpilot, my SS is Nam- to me a big beautiful helicopter that the cat, if I had one, could crawl into. It really cries out for a platoon or whatever they call them in the USMC; of little fellas.

Edit: answered me own questun!

Team: Four individual Marines assigned to a specific team (Three team members, plus the team leader).

Squad: Three Teams are assigned to a specific squad.

Platoon: Three squads are usually assigned to a specific platoon.

So maybe not a platoon, but a gang of them. And the pilots. Aviators?

As for a foopoo, or forpoi, that all sounds like Cajun food, which is a very very good thing indeed, but I think you mean faux pas: which I committed a large one when I fell in wit' ye gang o' cuthroats.

BTW Aaron, what model did Dee get?
