I amazingly got some decaling done this weekend.  Hopefully I'll be done soon.  Football and school have kept me busy...

Thanks guys! It has been a long year and alot of things are different. Divorce, employment/new job, new surroundings and moving away from my family and friends in California. I guess maybe it sounds a little sappy, but it helps to have a support group of friends available. I'd found that here with you guys because (let's face it) you guys aren't going anywhere!Big Smile [:D] Like th rest of you, I do have a love of building styrene. But if nothing else, I do enjoy to just sign on and shoot the breeze. I love ya guys, and it's great being friends here. I'm truley blessed...

Ok, now for the more practical side here. I'm starting work first thing monday, so I've been spending this weekend just getting settled in. The last 2 days have been more productive than I originally planned. Still alotta work to do, but I should have the bench up and running here shortly. Now I just need to select a kit to start.....Big Smile [:D]

Warmest regards,

Roger

Yes Rog! Congrats! You were one of the first friends I made here a year ago! Then you had to abruptly drop off.

Now you're posting more than ever! GREAT! Happy you're settling.

Frankie's Corsairs are simply jaw-dropping! No?

I visited a LHS Friday.....I THINK that TempestJohnny put me onto it.....I should have searched. Anyway....it Finescale Hobbies in Stratford, CT. Prototypical LHS.....owner reminds us of the comic store guy from the Simpson's! Knows where everything in the store is though. Came away with some needed decals and paint..................(....and there was a reasonably priced Academy P-40C.....)

He did have a milk crate of quarter ounce Testors enamels for $.60 each because they were old and pigments seperated.....I scooped some reds and grays.....hit 'em with paint stirrer and they are fine. Nice hit!

YAY!Party [party].....Make a Toast [#toast]....and build!

I didn't hear anything about that old car really? I know the whole Kema boardwalk was sadly pretty well wiped but is being redone. The storm surge up the bay really sank it even before the rain drops started falling. What did they say? The storm was a CAT 2 but due to it's size it pushed water up like a CAT 4.  I don't know if Galveston is ever gonna make it back to what it was. Still funny when your looking for a street or address and all the signs are gone.  It was sure good to see most of the aircraft from the flight museum at the airshow though.

Hmmm was looking for Nam? Must be out being the party animal that he is. He is looking for large round star decals for a pearl harbor PBY.

Dave is out having a 21st B-day party. Rum and moose milk.

Frank is washing his shirt so is stuck in the house until it is dry.

Roy said hey for a sec. Must be busy. Need to go look at his P-40 some more.

CAG is at the bikini contest.

Bondo is in the brig..............again

Dee was out exercising cuz Nam called her Reubenesque. Now she is raiding the rum rations! Don't know why that cam out b&w?

Got some more pics of Bubba's guns for ya lewbud.

Frank I know what you mean I have spent two days on a Half Track that is going sooooo slow. Trying not to get sick of it. Your stuff looks perfect as usual. Gotta do something while the shirt drys right?

Spent a lot of time on the bench today, working on Corsairs.  I added quite a few bits to the L/G, including the retraction springs, anti-rotation link, brake lines, and the lug and deck tie downs.  Also got the outer wings on the FAA bird.  Fiddly, fiddly, fiddly...

I WANNA PAINT SOMETHING!!!

That's too bad, hopefully it'll become an artificial reef somewhere.  Did the restaurants survive?  By the way, looks like Aaron's got it down right same haircut forever, same wardrobe, same wife, what more could a guy want?

Thanks guys for the B-day wishes! Make a Toast [#toast]Make a Toast [#toast]Make a Toast [#toast]  My wife wrapped up the presents I bought for myself at the Vancouver IPMS show last month and it included a 1/72 Tamiya Corsair so I just might jump on that one right away for this build as soon as I finish off the BR 20 that I'm working on.

Dee, I'm sure you can find some pictures of Aaron that I'm sure he would love for you to share on the internet. Wink [;)]
