Yeah lewbud, ol bubba is an expert collector. Kinda knows when to get them before they cant be got or afforded anymore. His parents were Immigrants from the Ukraine in the Big WW II fascinating story about them. He has a whole lot of the Russian stuff well a whole lot of everything. His Dragonov and scope are all nice and have the serial throughout the same. A real collectors piece. I'll dig up some more of his stuff and you won't believe it.

Oh, ok still kinda jealous over the Dragunov though.  By the way, the cop car Dee is standing in front of, is that the one in front of Jimmy Walkers in Kemah?  Was one of my favorite birthday restaurants when I was a kid.  Used to love going there and watching the shrimpers and crew boats come and go.

Not to far from there NAM . Cascade Park, Black River in Elyris Ohio. I'll check on the PBY for ya!

lewbud ya gotta know with all my kids I could never afford all these models and that arms room LOL That is a whole odd story about the strangest fellow I know, Bubba!  He retired a single man no strings. Retrained to be an electronics tech with his college $ Got a great job! Purposely got fired and collected the max unemployment for as long as he could, Every cent since he lives off his pension of the unemployment went to purchase assault weapons. All are legal and tax stamped but it was his way of getting even over the Monica Lewinski thing!  Just Bizarre and he loves them too.

Good eye that is a Trapdoor  carbine like Custers troopers carried. The RPG and such were Christmas presents from me. Demilitarized souveniers.

The guns are very real though.

Dee,

Since Aaron builds in the wrong scale, what would you take for Dragunov or what looks like to be a Sharps single shot?  Perhaps both?  Maybe a trip through the armory instead of the stash.

Model for you again? Absolutly! Although I have to say it's funny that the one you said had an unflattering pose came after the wine tasting and the liquer store. Wonder if there's a correlation there....

On a seperate note, I've gotta laugh at the old army scowl ya got there. Just like so many platoon sergeants i've had over the years.......Cool [8D]

Warmest regards,

Roger

Yeah thanks Nam I wouldn't have the patience to deal with a new woman. I'm pretty lucky but still get the I'm so fat and do you love me blah blah stuff. All those pics are well after 4 kids and I think she came thru rather well. I actually think I just enjoyed watching her go thru labor pains too much! Evil [}:)] About the only way us  guys can legally get even!

Roger and I bumped up your SBD post today so it shouldn't be too far back! Great work again! I am trying to develope a plan in my mind on how I am going to build one in 48 hours! Thanks Roy and Dave! Make a Toast [#toast] I actually think it will be a blast! I like the concept of building like we did way back when! It makes it really fun! If I can stand it!

Dee is threating to put up my senior picture!

Dee says I am showing old pics and she is now a fat old lady! So here are some recent ones!

Ok this is me the old crazy cranky Engineer! In Ohio it was cold!

This is the fat old lady still wearing a bikini under her cloths for the beach mind you.

Caught her at the wine store!

Caught her again! What a lush! fits right in here!

Cops got her finally she was going nuts!

Yep really old lady!

Mind you she is actually 2 months older than I and yet I get accused of robbing the cradle! Pirate [oX)]

So how do I keep the other guys away? Well Army Training!

Here she is in New Orleans in the most unflattering pose I can find!

Yep maybe she is right ! When she hit 42 I shoulda traded her in for two 21 year olds! Make a Toast [#toast]

Should make her model for me again! Whistling [:-^]

Taking a minute to show what must be shown......you rude, rude people!Laugh [(-D]

I must keep some stuff back for the SBD thread that's maybe a hundred pages back!

This is a personal "What-If" of my tail sitting F-39C from the USS Wasp. And NO....you may not see other views yet!

Except for this one!Mischief [:-,]

WTF was THAT?

Now some very bad PBY pics.....I apologize for the lack of focus.....I really didn't wan't to show these after seeing them yesterday.....but you all think I'm sleeping while not posting anyway!Laugh [(-D]

A bare cockpit shot above.....finished cockpit in fuse below. Many contrasting olive drab shades that you cannot see. Pilot's cushions are grey and not green. Bombardier/Gunner's kneeling cushion is faux leather from Macy's. Artistic liscense.....sue me! (Plus....the varying shades while show better to the eye thru the closed canopy IMO).

The big hole in the fuse is from a shotgun slug!

Okay.....enuff giggling in the peanut gallery! According to my camera, these were taken ove the course of 3 lifetimes!

I'm seriously thinking of splitting this for waist gun pics. NO!.....I have another PBY for this build. Thank you all for thinking of me Aaron!Laugh [(-D]

Alright, I'll post some pics to take the pressure off of Nam!

Did some work on the Corsairs today, mostly some touch-ups, fitting of fiddly bits, etc.  Did spray some paint on the arresting gear though.  First, painted the hook white.  Then, cut some 2mm Tamiya paint strips then masked the areas to remain white.  Sprayed some black, removed the tape and voila!  Black/white striped talihooks. Big Smile [:D]

I just did 5 Val's for the Pearl Harbor GB. Messed up the glass on one have to redo it. Ran it like a production line. Very intense but kept it straight from the box to keep things quick and simple.  I'd like to try the Tamiya Zero the same way. Then If I do Kates I got a whole strike force!  Not enough time though alas. Can you say climb Mount Nataka?

Ok I ask Dave real nice if he would let me in!  He has nice teeth. Mischief [:-,]
