Thanks Roger, the purple stuff is latex mask, you just paint it on out of the bottle and leave it to dry over night. Then you just spray straight over it the next morning. Wink [;)]

Still uploading!Confused [%-)] Wow CAG I just saw an F-4 in those colors. Pics up soon but this one didn't have the blue boogies all over it! Yuck [yuck]

Should have some pics for all taste. Only let me load 250 at a time!

My favorite was the Pearl Harbor reinactment called Tora Tora Tora by the 6th Cav Commemorative AF . There were 16 planes in the air at once. Sound effects and explosions. This was at least a 15 to 30 minute show. While not quite perfect in historical accuracy ( it was awesome to see a P-51 chasing zeros) It was Suprisingly an emotional event. There wer many overcome by the emotion of it! The choriagraphy and skill needed to have 16 aircraft dogfighting through smoke and explosons was numbing. No words can describe it. If you can ever see it you shall never forget it. I tried for pics but they just can't capture the feeling.

Went from 55 degrees to like 85 in 2 hours time. Very cool when you see the aircraft start spewing fuel on the ground (by design) when the fuel expands from the temp.  Stalling to see if they are down loaded....

http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn135/sfcmac65/AirShow/

Lets give this a try....

They are unediited raw and unlabled. Heck you all probably know what they are better than I?

If it works please feel free to use them as you see fit. They belong to all of us just limited by my poor skill and equipment.

Nice!!!!! Now leave it to an E-7 to ensure there's a detailed OPORDER!Wink [;)]

Lesse- Your insertion and extraction plans look good. Enemy situation and intel look accurate. A clear understanding of the mission (since the brief back is clear). Support elements utilized. Had to adjust plans later in the timeline due to enemy activity and situation, but at least that was included in your AAR (after action review for the head-scratchersWink [;)])Even included improvements for next time!!!!!

Clearly you've done this a time or two.....Cool [8D] Looking forward to the pictures!

Roger

Now hear this .... Now hear this...... I have just returned from the Airshow.

You all are lucky Dee is in Rick anxiety mode or you'd be in for it.

I am wiped out so instead of replying to you indidvidually I shall render a full report in writing. Submitted in triplicate and faxed off to the office of can you believe it or not ?

 Operations Order follows......

Situation: Wings Over Houston Air show in progress Has spawned much curiosity amongst the crew who are demanding photos! (and rum)

Mission: Attend the Airshow. Take as many photos of stuff as possible!

Enemy Forces: The Houstonian populace of 4 million plus will be out in force intent on invading a limited space, Their moral is high and are currently at 95% strength. They are armed with everything for screaming children to mean old disintrested Grandmothers. Expect them to use their vehicles as special tactical road rage road blocks!

Also Overpriced vendors charging $4 for a dixie cup of coke and ice and$5 for some cardboard pizza!

Friendly Forces: SFC Mac and 12 year old son who was told to look 11 to save $ on his ticket!

 AKA the suicide squad!

Execution: Awoke O-600 hours ( o is for OH it's early) Before traffic and parking are ann issue.

Got there and had an excellent view from the Mini-van and tactically parked should a quick retreat be needed.

As the gates opened at O-800 hours Storm the aircraft. Time is limited! They close early to the public on the 2nd day.

Taking photos of everything possible and observing the activities while dodging the ever growing crowd. A continuous river of people!

When supplies and ammunition are exhausted tactically retreat back to home base!

Special Instructions... dont forget to charge the camera batteries fill the gas tank and buy food and drink to take in at a much more reasonable cost!  Remember to take all the above and your tickets!

That was the order of the day. Tenative results 325 photos of everything that was there! Currently uploading and making into an album so as not to kill everyones computer!

Had to call it quits before the T-birds went aloft. The crowd became overpowering

An incredible amount of people. If staying the whole day next year I shall invest in the VIP tickets!

More soon.........

Alrighty lewbud and everyone else!!!!! I have indeed purchased tickets for me and my youngest son to go to this event tommorrow!  Figure don't want him to think me so cheap as to make him watch it from the front yard! Then of course when we get home wife and daughter going to rock and roll with Rick! AND she is looking for you lewbud! Something about those comments on being a 2 hit wonder. Dead [xx(]

Going to go early and got both cameras charging so I will do my duty as best as my meger photographic skills allow.

Of course this will require my absence from the ship in the morning and being the only steady footed fellow at the moment  well good luck to ye. I'll attach the teather.

UGGGH! The sun is setting now. Wings over Houston? My son had offered to buy me tickets to some air show for my B-day last week. He had to go on some ROTC orienteering thing this weekend. (already called and said he was lost) so I told him to save his $ and just put some gas in the car. ACK!

My wife also offered but then Rick Sprinfield is in Houston tommorrow so I have lost her probably until Monday!

Was just out with my youngest boy again working on his bike and 3 FA-18 Super Hornets flew over as low and slow as you could Imagine. Of course the camera was in the house upstairs! Banged Head [banghead] Have to see if anything is happening tommorrow for you all! I have been Jilted for Rick Springfield! What is this 1982!

Know how your son feels.  In my one and only attempt in orienteering I got lost out at Camp Bulllis (one of several stories involving me and Camp Bullis).  Had to send out the search party.  If she's going to ogle some 80's two hit wonder, you can definitely get away with going to the airshow.  www.wingsoverhouston.com
