Hmmmmmm big wildcat and little wildcat! Good timing John! It sure looks well done to me! I love the colors you did ! That yellow / silver scheme is tough to get right and yours is pretty as a picture! I was comparing the Wildcat in the Nov FSM issue to the one Dee and I just built. It is a F4F-3 like yours ! You have the gutsier paint job though, Bondo you is a hopeless case...... The one birthday present I am truly giving myself is to turn off any an all political commercials/ programs. It has already gotten to the point where you can't tell the pigs from the men. Thanks Frank! I was gonna ask what you and Katie were up too next?

John and Dee,
Nice jobs on your 'Cats. I've got a -3 and -4 in the queue after I get my Tigercat finished. Was gonna do some painting on them this morning, mixed up some interior green and promptly discovered my airbrush was kaput. John, saw your plane and the the little light bulb went off in my head. I've got some pics of a squadron mate of your build. I took some pics of the -3 at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola when I was there last fall. It's the same squadron, but the cowl ring, chevrons, and fuselage band are a bright blue. Must be a different echelon, don't understand the inter-war schemes.
Aaron,
Happy Birthday dude! Hope you got some cool kits and some better beer, PBR is rough. With regards to Dee's Wildcat, hers is a -4. Main noticeable differences between the -3 and the -4 is the -4 has folding wings and 3 guns in each wing. The -3 was a solid wing and had two guns in each wing.
