Well done Jason, I like it a lot!  The extreme weathering is very good, as it should be on a Pacific bird IMHO.  Thanks for the pics!

Yes Jason good to see it again, you did a very fine job. Was this the Eduard or Hasegawa kit? I have these markings for the Eduard kit and plan to do it one day, I just hate spraying white stripes!!

Cheers...

Jason, NICE to see your Hellcat again!!!! Honestly I don't think the weathering is overdone at all!!! Just hardworking before the paint had a chance to fade giving it the impression of being pressed into combat immediately and being a workhorse!!! Beautiful work!!!Toast

Well Frank since we are keeping this going over here too & it looks like the site is working better, I would like to post my completed build.

Well I am calling this one done. I am happy with the results from my first completed build. I know I over did some of the weathering and learned many things about painting, decaling & finishing on this build.
I did add cut brass for the gun barrels.

But to much Rambling on...BRING ON THE PICS!!!! :D

D >:(ng It!! I just noticed in the pics that somewhere between glueing on the pitot tube & 8 hours at work then to the photo session ...it has gone MIA :-[.Hopefully I will find it.

Thanks for all the great comments and help on this build.

Cheers & Semper Fi-Jason

Hehehe umm no I haven't actually.Embarrassed Done the seats and IP and thats pretty much it so far. I started painting the cockpit tub and about to add the PE bits when I started my Jake floater for the War in the Pacific build which I don't have far to go on. Just have to get my size twelves up my backside and get the home stretch finished. Then I will endeavour to complete the Buc before the end of the year. Frank I want you to hold me to that!!Whistling So will be forthcoming.

Ditto and thrice!

Stikpusher I've seen that kit a few times marked down to a real bargain, almost got it a couple of times, I look forward to seeing you whip it into shape.

Richie, I'd like to see more of your  Buccaneer build sometime, I remember a seat but don't know if you've done anymore since.

Cheers....

No reason there can't be two NAW GB's.  Something for everybody.  We need a new CAG, though.  I nominate Frank!

It is the Tamiya kit. Certainly not one of their better kits. Very basic in may areas. I will have to do more add ons with strip and sheet plastic to make up some shortcomings. I know several folks have left with the forum change, but the build lives on!

Looking good there Carlos!  I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see an email stating that there was a reply here.  Good on you for continuing on your Harrier!

I actually am still working on my Sea Harrier from time to time. I have assembled the wings, the engine, and a few other odds and ends. I am adding  an Eduard Zoom set to dress up the cockpit. I have the fuselage together with rubber bands just for the pics here. The engine nozzles on the kit really suck so I am debating whether or not I should fix the kit ones or get a resin set from Pavla .

Great build Frank.  Glad that you didn't let it beat you.  Always thought the Corsair looked neat with the clipped tips.
