Hello Chaps! Pirate [oX)]

I see Bondo mentioned my intent for next years build theme...........well, there is an idea that I would like to put forward. How about a campaign theme?

Here are my idea's:

1.Pacific WWII -FAA, RCN, RAN, USN, USMC

 2.Vietnam-USN, USMC, RAN

3.1991 Gulf War-  FAA, USN, USMC, RAN, RCN, FN

Lots of possibilities here from warbirds to sweet 60's jets to modern jets. What do you think lads? If you would rather hand back over to the US Fleet next year that's fine too-I just thought I'd put the idea out there.Smile [:)]

Your thoughts please!

Sorry, I read that line and laughed.....I haven't thought of these cartoons in years!!

Question: I am working on my Hellcat and was wondering if the FAA paint scheme had a sharp edge demarcation between the Duck egg and top color. And also was the top colors sharp edged or feathered into one another???

Why wait?????  Get yer mangy hide down to the mess.  Otherwise ye'll be gettin a visit from the Australian contingent.  Ye really don't want them to come a callin.  Seriously come on board.

Mr. BUDD!! I'll be th' judge o' that, b' gar! Sounds like time to bring the marines down to the mess and clean out the grifters wot are camped within. My sense is there's hope for'm, maybe on the foredeck.

Mr. Antipode if that really is your name, we'll take your papers at the gang and issue you a duty. My sense is it'll involve cleaning up the Admiral's vomit, and in following a suggestion of a... subject.  Our ship hoves back to USN round abt next February, as I recall the CAG's last orders, but not being able to speak for his excellent missnibness I would suspect it's a little unknown 'cept in his excellent melon. therefore the directive is to build NOW and build well, on a FAA theme.

There's no direct lashing for not finishing anything, as the XO will remind us, but it's a grand thing to make models here. Them's the rules.

CAG this man may come aboard. Let the XO be awakened and write him into the log.

So it's a good thing then that I just obtained the old Smer 1/50 Swordfish on floats? :-) There is another of the same kit for me to acquire if I so desire it as well.

The Tamiya Mk.1 costs $ 70 or so. I'd be into building a Fairey floatplane, don't see those too often. That sounds like a winner to me.

Well it is kinda like climbing a Mountain..... Just cuz it's there!

Or going to the moon to say we did it?

Or  going out with the entire cheerleading squad just cuz you can! Thumbs Up [tup]

Plus a lot of old models have sentimental value to me.

John,

Bummer.  Maybe your cat thought he was doing you a favor.  Naaah, that can't be it.  He was doing the old if a model falls off a shelf and there's no one around, will I have only eight lives left test.  Some of you might be wondering why then he/she didn't do it when John was present.  I never said the cat was stoopid.

There's been an accident.  My Kingfisher decided to see if it could fly.  It is now lying on my shop floor in a pile of scrap.  Will have to see what else I have or can pick up that has flown with the FAA/RN.  Part of me is unhappy and part of me is tickled that kit is a bear.

I would stay away from salt, tends to leave a residue and ruin paint work. Try and find some very fine sand instead if you use that technique. My 2 cents [2c] HTH!!!

Thank you very much for the Christmas card Darren!!Make a Toast [#toast]
