Gentlemen.............This build is a go!

I don't check in for 24 hrs and all sorts of silliness happens.  Jon, I hate to think what'll happen while your gone for the weekend.  You'll likely come back to find everyone has finished.  Sheesh.  SoapBox [soapbox]

Why did I have a feeling I was not the only oneBig Smile [:D]

Made some vacuformed gun blisters with the parts from Jon  Sanding did not bother me until recentlyConfused [%-)]

The saw kerfs and holes on the Milliput mold help get a good suction. And PAM, as it turns out, is a great mold is release for this.

Old panels lines filled, old bumps and blisters filed off, the whle wing sanded, rescribed and a new "C" blister

These panels were cut from the Airfix wing Jon sent me and spliced intot he Hasegawa lower wing

Darren-

Does your Spit have the awful sink marks on the back of the prop blades like mine does?  Took me 5 applications of filler just to fill 'em in.

To be honest I had'nt noticed..........I guess I'd better check it out tomorrow. I'm going to break formation now, its very late my side of the pond.

See you tomorrow.Wink [;)]

Tell you what lads, my build is going to take ages! The PE set I bought is loaded with little details and its just hurt my eyes putting the PE seat together!Clown [:o)]Blindfold [X-)]

Mind you, its worth it if it'll look good when its done. I have spayed the interior green over everything and will add a wash and dry brushing tomorrow. Then its on to the I/P panel.Wink [;)]

They looked too cool to pass up, Frank! I picked up the Spit ones, and also a set for my Tamiya P-51D. The unshrouded stacks in that Mustang set (which provides both options) are incredible-looking!

I've remained pure.... Wink [;)]

Though I have looked the sprues over quite a bit.

Just so no one thinks I've fallen off the face of the Earth, I'll be out of town until Tuesday, taking a short trip to the mountains here in NC. So don't think I've dissappeared just as the fun begins! Smile [:)]

I am guilty of cheating Disapprove [V]and I throw myself at the mercy of the courtSad [:(]... uh... the moderatorSad [:(]...er... the build membersSad [:(]. Well, I throw myself in front of someoneWink [;)].  I built the 2 little 144th Mustangs to fill the gap between the last build and the start of this GB.  But I am weak. We watch TV in the room where my bench is and I just could go another day without working on something and I didn't want to start something and put it down.  The desk was calling to me softly, or was that the carpet monster's stomach growling???  Whatever it was... I cheated.  I started working on my Spit.  I have started converting the Vb wing to a c wing with the aid of parts sent by Jon (go figure... Jon has Spitfire parts... whodathunkit)

So if I must given myself 30 lashes with some al dente spaghetti... I willWhistling [:-^].  And I will post some pics soon of the progress.
