Today I sprayed on some dark yellow on my Tiger, along with hand painting dark yellow to the crew man.

Thanks guys, I have really enjoyed putting this together.  The only hard part is painting the black that goes around the wheels, around the rims.  I'm really happy the way she turned out.

Today I glued on the wheel sets, after the glue is fully dryed there will be some touch up on the black rims.

Looking better all the time.  Once you get the roadwheels touched up it will look great.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]

Don't know squat about tanks, but it looks good to me.  I do know others have used circular masks made from circle templates to help with the painting of the darker outer area.  Just a suggestion, after the fact. Big Smile [:D]

When I am painting rubber rimmed road wheels, I use a permanent marker.  It's glossy, but after a coat of flat coat it looks fine.  A very light drybrush of a dark gray helps tone down the pitch black color and give them a worn look.

Of course, there's always the "circle template" method that some people seem to prefer...Whistling [:-^]

Hey, I finished up my Merkava IIID  for the modern GB, or least close enough.  So, I know can start up on this GB,.  I am building a Mark IV F2, from dragon.  Also will be adding PE and after market decals.  I am reresenting a unit form 4. kp 5 Panzer Reg of the 21 Panzer Division.  Does any one know where I can find a picture of this.  I would like to get the paint sceme right.  As it appears that the Germans painted them in many different styles.  Any help would be great.

thanks

Things are really moving along in this group build!

Arki30:  Fantastic job on the P-40K!  One of the nicest OBB's I've seen.

Mike:  Your Fiat L6/47 looks great!  The rust really makes it stand out.

Dan:  Nice work on the Tommie and Spit!  Just take care of that overspray and you'll have two winners there.

Bob:  The Spitfire is wonderful!  I wouldn't worry too much about the Azure Blue; it looks fine in the pictures.

FeldMarschall:  Can't wait to see your Tiger once it's done!  Someday I hope to build some armor, and when I do a Tiger I hope to do a North Africa one like yours.

My apologies if I've missed anyone.

Regards,

Mark

Mark, you're too kind.  I see a lot that could be better, but I won't obsess on it.  When will we see anything on your P-40?  I'm eager to see some progress.

Philo426, very nice 88mm.  I made one for the eastern front, my kit came with 8 figures I think and a motor bike.  I can remember it had alot of parts! Wink [;)]

Well today I started on glueing the tracks to my Tiger, along with glueing them to the top of the road wheels.  I think she really looks alsome.

Thanks Rick, still a lot of sanding with the "early" conversion set. Angry [:(!] Ultracast really disappointed me

philo, the 88 looks good.  That's just a mean looking gun.

FMM, that's definitely an interesting way to get the tracks to stay down for the glue to dry! Tongue [:P]

gzt, the seam looks like you've beat it to me.  It's surprising Ultracast goofed because they usually nail it.  Ah well, even they have off days.

I've just gone back over the last couple of pages and great progress everybody all the builds are looking excellent.

Greg I'm really surprised that it's an Ultracast part that has let you down (fit wise).  I've used their stuff many many times in the past and it's always been flawless in terms of quality and fit.  I've got to ask the obvious question though, did you order the Ultracast Spitfire Mk IX 1-pc Lower Cowl with Early Style Intake for the Hasegawa kit or the ICM kit.

Cheers

Just about finished with this Tiger,  now just putting on some final touches.  Wheel's still need some touch-ups.  I can say that I'm really happy on how she turned out, the kit was fun to put together and paint.
