Well Guys you have spoken and here is what you've selected

As Matchbox kits are a bit bare bones in some areas the cockpit in this case.  I'll be adding some resin seats and I have some spare pe bits to try and jazz up the office.  I have'nt decided yet from what squadron this build will represent either from 416 or 425 Sqn CAF.

Cheers

If we go by our tie policy of last year, he's technically correct.  You know, Kenny, I wonder if last years tie policy is really the right path given the unprecedented number of ties or potential tie votes we have this year.

While I'm not for more complication and delay, I wonder if a more appropriate solution in the spirit of the GB would be to have a seperate tie breaker vote for each person with ties?  Except in this case only one kit can be voted on out of the tied kits?

Just tossing an idea out there.  Once our last voter votes this may become moot or nearly moot.

Speaking of which, with the possibility of our last voter becoming a no show doesn't it make sense to have a tie-breaker vote just to resolve the last remaining vote?

Again, just tossing ideas out there.  I'd be interested to hear what others think.

arki, funny you should bring that up, as the same scenario has crossed my mind more than once since the initial results became known to all of us who have already voted. I would definitely be in favor of a tie-breaker vote. It could be done on New Years Day, the day after the polls close.

i also thought of that guys and it all depends on if Sir IL doesnt mind putting up another vote table with the tied kits and only one vote for the tied ones . i have no problem with that at all so lets see what IL says

Hood is winning by a landslide, no tie problems for me. No way anything else can win even with that last voter MIA.

Looks like fun!

1/2 hour and the polls will be closed as per the rules polls close on Dec 31, 2007. Any stash that is not tied you will have your kit listed here on page one. if there is a tie hopefully Sir IL will be kind enough to put up a tie break vote which we will be able to vote on only one kit.

I was kinda hoping he would vote so there would be a sence of finality. The voting has been exciting so far and it would be nice to finish it. Either way we build what has been voted on.

With the polls now closed I would like to thank all the voters for your selection.  The Mosquito was one of my own votes as I've always wanted to build one.  I'm quite satisfied with your selection. Thumbs Up [tup] Just hope I can do it justice. Blindfold [X-)]

Cheers!

Arki, I'm looking forward to seeing your work on the Mossie. Should be a real looker for sure! It was a great vote, and a lot of fun to participate in. I missed the first IMS GB....no way I was missing this one!

Kenny, I like the idea of using the pm's to cast our tie-breakers. It'll keep everyone in suspense until all the votes are tallied. I'll be sending you mine shortly. As some may still be away on holiday leave (Dave 'razordws' may still be in Vancouver), how much time will be alotted for casting the tie-breaking votes?

The PM idea is a good one.  That'll keep things simple, and IL can just vote this time!

Kenny, I only counted 5 ties. Looks like sidure's 1/48 AM Il-2 took the prize for him with 8 votes.

Thats right Ruddratt, my stash is not at a tie. I was just about to notify Kenny when you wrote it. I like the PM idea also, in addition I will be away for work for a few days and may not get back until Wed. I will check out the ties and send a PM to Kenny, I hope that is ok or I will miss the second round.

Steve.

Well.. it looks like I'm destined to build the B-58 for sure.  LOL - if
there was only one kit in my stash that's a more challanging build
than last-year's Mig-31, I think this kit would be it!  You guys sure
like to abuse me!  Banged Head [banghead] LOL

Nahh.. joking aside, I'm really excited.  I was quite suprised, in fact.
The kit has raised panel lines which I swore to myself that I would
sand off and re-scribe.  We'll see about that... Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  It's 1/128th
scale, which should make finding decals interesting!

Here is a photo that I took of the kit several month ago.  This is the
kit holding itself completely together with no glue what-so-ever.
They don't make 'em like this anymore (circa 1989).

Hey, it's only 1/128th!  How could it be as tough as the Mig-31? Tongue [:P]

Were the decals lost or not included?  You could paint the markings...in 1/128th scale!  Ouch. Banged Head [banghead]

Still looks like a cool little build.
