Yep, my Bro's house is less than five minutes from you know where and my stash has grown even though I did just go in for paint! Whistling [:-^]

not too bad at all IL

i did some research into the dragon leopold found out there are a few mistakes in the directions if i didnt find that i would have messed up the model.

and after a little more research i found out the trumpy kit is alot more detailed than the dragon but that isnt to big of a deal.

the big deal is after seeing some completed models how hugethe thing is by the weekend i will be starting this monster i hope.

It blows my mind after 16 votes we still have 3 ties.  Banged Head [banghead] Unbelievable.  Well, at least 2 of them were resolved.  Big Smile [:D]

Kenny, I think you said early you'd run the tie-breaker vote till midnight tonight.  I say stick with that and then toss the coin.  Let's end this and move on with the build!

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

The coin flip works for me. I'm stoked to build either one of those kits! Also starting to feel a little self-conscious about holding up the start of the build. Sad [:(]

Ok, based on the HMS Hood association website, there are a few little errors which I'll be correcting. Some tiny styrene work, that's all. I've started a blog documenting my build, i'll post the link tomorrow.

Oh man, she is so going to kill you.  And us for voting for it. Tongue [:P]  I hope you have some big plans to take her out, buy a spa trip, something to mollify her!  Where are you going to put it, that's what I wonder?  This will be fun to watch come together. Big Smile [:D]

Even though I don't know when I'll be able to start on mine, here are pics of what I'll be tackling.  It's definitely not OOB.

True Details wheels

Eduard mask

Ultracast mud guards

Aires wheel bays

Ultracast exhausts

Ultracast seats

Ultracast access door

Aires bomb bay

Ultracast tail wheel

I'm really looking forward to diving into this Thumbs Up [tup]

Looks like some very ambitious projects ahead for this GB. That railroad gun looks daunting Kenny, and arki, I really like Ultracast's stuff.

As for mine, I'm quite happy with the results of the coin toss (and I think I can safely lay claim to the kit with the fewest parts in this GB Wink [;)] ). Been wanting to build this 'monster' for quite some time. I purchased it almost 3 years ago, and it's no longer available, so I'll be taking my time with it. Looks like I'll be using a combination of Alclad II, MM enamels, Vallejo acrylics, artist oils, and pastels to get the effect I want. Still tossing around some ideas for the base, but I'm leaning towards using a similar scale 'Alien' head I have in my stash as part of it.

Started on my Hood today. Got the decks on, had some issues with the fit. I really like this kit though, fantastic detail.

Love Ultracast.  As much as I buy from them I'd expect to have part ownership by now, but alas, no.

Arki, my introduction to the line of Ultracast's products came during my first trip to Fine Scale Models (a modelers' paradise) in N. Vancouver last May. The owner of the shop had nearly their entire line in stock, and I was blown away by the quality of the castings and the sheer variety of subjects available. Next time the wife and I fly down there, I'm bringing more money and a bigger suitcase! Big Smile [:D]

Arki  Love all that AM stuff you've got for the mossie.  It's going to look great.

Got a start on the Voodoo, I'd forgotten how bare bones the Matchbox kits are.  Now I have to find some referance material on the Voodoo, went through all my books and info on the F-101 is seriously lacking especialy in the cockpit.  Looks like I'll be out book shopping tomorrowSmile [:)] will post pics when the camera batteries are recharged

Cheers

Need to paint now, but gotta get a spare part for my airbrush so she's going back in the box for a few days. I'll post what I've done later tonight.
