With all that stuff on the bench there is no way you get ever get a 190 done for the Fw 190 GB. Whistling [:-^]

LOL, I had finally figured out a solution to a problem on my Fokker E.V so I was doing the marathon catch-up.  It felt good to finally be making progress again! Big Smile [:D]

I have that same disease Frank. Im doing something totally different to modelling and then a thought comes into my head from the modelling side of it, and whispers 'If you did it like this......' and then all you can think about is getting to your bench. To the missus, you might as well not be there as your mind is away with the 109's 190's 111's... (Insert area of interest, if you have one RAF, US etc).

I was up at 7.30 this morning. On the bench. LOL.

Thank you very much!  I want to do another 190, but am also looking forward to working on some other projects.  Perhaps I'll see you over there later. Thumbs Up [tup]

Guy- I wonder if there is any hope for us.  Perhaps we should sign up for those plasticaholics annonymous meetings together!

The addiction to plastic is what keeps us sane.Mischief [:-,]

I'd never cope with work if I didn't have the bench to distract me.

Lots of building today, though none involving a aircraft directly.

I've spent my morning in Ikea picking up a new computer desk for my wife, and a display cabinet for me.Big Smile [:D]

Obviously the afternoon was spent building both items, desk first of course.Wink [;)]

Glad I picked up the cabinet as it is a huge improvement over my dusty old shelves, I had to shovel the dust off some of these before I put them in their new home.

Think I'll be picking up another one of these next month.

I absolutely agree Karl.  Work would completely drive me around the bend if it weren't for my hobby.

I like the display cabinet Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]  Very wise of you to set up the desk first.  Allows more time to step back and enjoy the display case afterwards! Wink [;)]  I picked up a display case myself at an auction house a few months back.  I need to take a picture now that I have it set up and the models are in it.

Gents I hear what you are saying, if it wasn't for modeling I would go absolutely nuts.  I mean how on earth would I spend my days at work if it wasn't online here or researching my "next" big project.

Karl that's a lovely cabinet, did you have it especially made or is it a generic unit.

Cheers

OK, here we go with #2, something without a lot of canopy masking thsi time! Big Smile [:D]

This is Tamiya's 1/72 Emil, just a sweet little kit.

Interior, I think I got the instrument panel wrong, should be 66. Sigh [sigh] Only add-on is some Eduard PE setabelts.

And ready to roll out to the paint shop:

Well done Mike!  Are you SURE that's 1/72? Confused [%-)]

I think you're right about the IP, should be 66.

Looks good Mike, you're at the same stage as I am with my Tamiya 1/72.  Are you doing the E3 or the E4/7 kit?

Got her painted and coat of Future applied last night, I'm off this week so I can stay up past my normal bedtime (I usually get up for work at 0400).  Aeromaster acrylics, you guys know my drill by now.

Sweet paint job Mike. Especially for such a tiny plane. I build the Hasegawa 1/72 E-7 as an airbrush exercise not thinking it would be possible to do camo on such a tiny plane but it came out halfway decent. Now 1/48 scale seems like a breeze! I can't wait to see here done!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Andrew, I use a Peak C-5 airbrush and I love it.  At $92 I think it's about the best airbrush for the money on the market right now.

So far so good is a gross understatement, Mikester. That is some of the finest mottling I've yet to see, and the decals look like they're snuggled down to the point of appearing painted on. What medium and colors did you use for your wash?

Mike, thanks!

I use Promodeller Wash for my panel lines:

http://www.promodeller.com/buy-the-wash/

This is by far the best product I've ever used for washes.  I tried just about every one of the "secret recipes" out there for panel line washes but never found anything I was really completely happy with until this stuff.  It's incredibly easy to use and gives consistently good results.  I know I sound like I make this stuff myself or I'm a major stock holder but that's how much I like it.

I totally agree with all the remarks so far. Shes looking awesome so far fella. I love the markings on this bird. The Gruppen marking of the Bird with the glasses on the Rear fuz and the strange Lips on the lower cowl. Wierd but great. The mottling is something else. Very nice job and on 1/72nd. Top marks.

Ive just found out my LHS stocks Promodeller washes, so my plan is to get some tomorrow. Im off work on hols for a fortnight Woo hoo.

Sounds like something I'm definitely going to have to try, Mikester. It sounds like a great product, and the results you're getting with it really back that up. Thanks! Thumbs Up [tup]

I think it was a good choice to use promods wash, I used it on my P-40 I just built and I think it great.

Thanks Mike, I try to order anything I need to order from Sprue Bros.  GREAT products and service! Thumbs Up [tup]

Andrew- The wash you put on that P-40 was awesome, now I AM gonna get some of that wash.  Thanks buddy! Big Smile [:D]

Darren- Could you add the Spitfire I built to the list too?  Figured it counted as one that sat around for a while waiting to get finished.  Thanks!
