Hi all,
just a little gap filler project while waiting for a mail order to arrive.
Kit went together quite well even though its 1992 vintage. Probably lacking a few details that a modern kit would have, especially around the lights, but overall an enjoyable little build.
Used Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand for the base coat.

On the neverending quest for the perfectly built model kit.
Turned out great. I love fun little projects like that.
Thanks,
John
Very nice BT. Looks like one of the vehicles from the HBO series Generation X.
Generation Kill TigerII? Yes very much so.
I'm not familiar with that series, is it a recent show?
It's a great HBO series from 2008. I read the book by the same title first and it's pretty true to the events and characters. You are in for a treat!

Hahaha. Thanks keavdog for fixing my error. It was late when I wrote that. I enjoyed that series and its a shame it was for only one season. Thanks again.
Looks pretty friggin' good to me!!!
Did you use a brown wash? I've used washes on sand coloured vehicles and they never seem to look right.

I like your build. I also like this kit; Academy copied the Tamiya Hummer but didn't realise it was an Italeri kit that Tamiya issued as a one off. They were inexpensive and easy to build. I use to snatch these up whenever I saw them on sale until the newer Tamiya kits came out.
Hi Gamera,
I tried a couple of washes with this model. I used Tamiya Brown and Black Panel line accent around the body of the vehicle and AK North Africa Dust pigment for the tyres.

Thanks! As I said, I love how she came out! Will have to try the same next time I do a sand vehicle.
Looks good BT. Just needs a gunner in the turret hatch

thanks mate. I do have the figure in the kit, I just never used it as my figure painting is pretty average.
