Two Takoms

I"ll use these as a pretext to re-introduce myself, having been on a semi-self enforced hiatus. Wish I could say the time spent was used to hone my skills, but alas. Finished the Renault yesterday, the worst part was cleaning up the tracks:5 sprue attachments per shoe,3 on the links, but once assembled relatively easy to mount. 64 total x 2 links each.  The Mk I Female was done in February, slightly overengineered I think. The usual apologies for pics, I can't capture what I see in situ.

Thanks Tojo, my understanding is that these camo schemes evolved from the original " Dazzle " look to being repainted on arrival on the continent to a 4 color scheme, which quickly devolved to a 3 color and eventually monotone, due to the quick deterioration under field conditions and lack of maintaining them. They really didn't kick up a lot of mud due to to their slowness.

Thanks Drums, your opinion comes with some weight. In an aside, RIP Jim Gordon.

I love the primitive WW1 tanks. They are the best. I loved it when they were here at Fort Knox.

They both turned out extremely well.  I'm particularly fond of the Renault after reading about what a significant little tank it was.  Great work and welcome back.

Thanks,

John
