Roden M35 shheeesh!

Man if this is typical of Roden kits I may think twice about buying another. Instructions are useless in spots and the plastic they use is so soft that even brand new sprue cutters deforms it. I built an M35 3/4 ton about 40 years ago and it must have been made by another company. Just took me twenty minutes to get the wheels/rims on the tires properly!

Howdy Glenn!

You sure about that M35 designation?

I think you mean the Roden M37 3/4 ton truck.  The plastic is soft and directions spotty, but it can build into a very nice kit.  Def Model does some replacement resin wheels that are nice as well.

The M35 is a 2 1/2 ton truck and made by AFV Club.  It is an excellent kit.

AFV Club also does a Vietnam-era M35A1 as the Nancy guntruck.  It can be built as an M35A1 cargo truck w/out the .50 cal quad gunmount as well.

Yes M37 is what I meant. I did build the AFV 2 1/2 and 5 ton kits. AFV is worlds apart from Roden. Now that I have it painted it looks way better. I did build that gun truck That's the one I had to hunt down extra 50's because all the barrels on the kit were warped.
