Anyway you can glue your tracks down? Just an observation. I know Italeri's can be a bit stiff.

Funny thing is that in fact I did super-glue the tracks down.  You should have seem 'em before.   I think I could have done better overall, but I did enjoy the build, and this GB, and learned a lot in the process.

Plastic_Cross "Lessons Learned the Hard Way" #1 - Be careful with that roto tool !

Thanks for the kind feedback J-M, Eric, and Zokissima.  Your encouragement is very much appreciated.   Next stop - Self Propelled Artillery GB.

Larry, a bit OT, but was that you that was bidding on the DML Hetzer the other day? Me too. LOL Sad thing is I bought that years ago, but the tracks scared me off, so I sold it. Well, no more. It was a great looking kit too. I got it super cheap at a rare sale at the now defuct LHS.

Yup, that was me, using the very cryptic eBay ID LarryPCross.   I have a DML Hetzer Command version I found on eBay about a couple months ago. I forgot what I paid, but it must have been a good deal, or I wouldn't have purchased it.

I am eyeing the Eduard Hetzer early version.  I looked at the box at the LHS and now I must have it.  It's about $60 retail, and I put a best offer on the one that's currently at $49, but it was too low.  I think $49 is not a bad price at all for that kit, but I think I need to earn some more badges before I spring for something like that.

Wow, look at all those great builds!

Sorry I haven't participated much in the discussions here as I have some personal issues to settle at the moment. However, I have managed to work on my entry for this GB. It's not 100% complete yet as I am planning to add some minor items to the base. But here are some pics. The paint is still wet in some areas through. The pics are a bit dark as I took it last night.

I'll take better pics next time.

Haha, I was right. I'm glad we didn't get into a bidding war. BTW, Greatmodels has the Eduard Hetzer Late for $44.75. Seems reasonable, if you want interior and whatnot.

Dwight, good to see you and your build coming around.

I got the rubber on the tires painted (not much rim to play with, so sloppy job IMO) and starting to get really serious about finishing this build before the holidays. I'm debating whether to use Future or not, for I'm putting on Archer crosses and that's all. My experience with washes, is that they don't seem to adhere to Future, kind of run off. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I don't pretend to be a weathering guru, for I'm not.

Awesome Dwight, I love your camo on your figures.  Looking at the collars thought, are they Wehrmarcht?  I thought only SS were wearing camo (something looked as funny by other troops, I believe)     I might be entirely wrong though, so somebody correct me if I am.      Again, awesome. Hope mine turns out that good when I do it. Thumbs Up [tup]

Frankly speaking, I don't have much of a clue. I don't have much info on this item or the units that used it. I just followed what was shown in the boxart. Smile [:)]

Thanks for the comments and points raised guys. I appreciate it very much.

Badger 150.      I'm still learning how to use it

That's my airbrush of choice. I clean it between colours with alcohol but when I CLEAN it I use Mastercraft lacquer thinner. It's cheap and it's not as strong as automotive lacquer. I don't think your airbrush is dirty though, I think you need to replace the little white teflon seal behind the head. They have a habit of getting compressed over time and they start to leak. I remember when they sold Badger bees wax to seal it. Sheesh, that made me feel old.

Hope I helped,   Ron.

Hey, thanks a lot Ron. I'm going to get some soon. Do you let it soak in? or you just clean and scrub?

Terry here, just got this little piece of crap on a base. The bad mould lines are everywhere, I just can't wait to finish.

Regards,

Terry.

It looks fine to me Terry. Your weathering is quite convincing. Now grab your badge mate.

She looks happy rolling on that base Smile [:)]

Nice looking build.

As for me, well this is my first model to get a German gray finish, and while its ok, its really convinced me that I need more practice. I'd appreciate any kind of input into an effective way to paint a german gray scheme..

For now, I'm calling this done.

It looks pretty darned nice to me Zoran. I really like the weathering, a bit subtle for you, but perfect to me. A very nice build.

Yowza !  That's what I would call extreme weathering.

Sorry to hear about the Puma.  It was a great build.

Terry,

Your pictures turned out much clearer this time.  I think the results are quite striking.  One of the most interesting models I've ever seen.  Way to go.

Victory!!!!   My AB work perfectly tonight!!!  It just needed a good soak in rubbing alcohol.  I should be done with the interior by the end of this weekend, glue the upper hull and start working on the outside.

Good to hear, I've survived a few mishaps myself.

 Hello again everybody,

Terry Here, I want to thank everybody for their kind words of encouragement. I haven't checked in for a few days, so whats happening?

Zoran I really like the Blitz wonderful build, excellent load in the back looks really convincing. The weathering is really well executed, you have made a really first clas job of a golden oldie. In these days of the ultra accurate kits its great to see a good build on this kit which must have adorned millions of dioramas over the decades and still stands up to be counted.

Glyn whats happening here?  is  this GB taking its toll on you, are you going to start again with another kit? Really sorry to hear about the Puma it was comming along well and had great potential, agaqin really sorry to hear of your accident.

Regards,

Terry.

Regards,

Had a result saturday, went to visit my sister and raided my brother in law's parts box and stash and managed to get enough parts to put the Puma right so I'm happy.

I thought about leaving a few of the teeth marks in the fenders as they make for convincing hit's lol

Hey, is it possible to join this? I just pulled out an Italeri 1/721 scale M-20 Armored Car to start. If you guys would like to include me, I'd like to start it for this build. Thanks.
