Well, count me in, also.

I've been modeling for a long time, but never done armor before. How'd THAT happen ?

I'll be building either an M1A2 or HUMVEE...maybe both.

I'd like to jump in on this... building Italieri's 1/35 Stinger HMMWV (will probably modify to the USMC experimental AMRAAM ground launcher aka HUMRAAM) and Italeri's 1/35 LAV-25 Piranha.  Will update with the variant when I check the references after work..

Good to have you ewc2003. I got you down.

I just want to apologize to anyone who can't start on the new start time - September 1st. I just realized that I have the week off and it is Labor Day week, so I thought I (we) could get a bit done.

Sooner the better.  Two extra weeks on an Italeri kit is always good.  :)

Yeah, with those injection pin marks on the inside of my gunshield and other places, I could use the time. Compared to a Dragon super-kit, there is probably less than 150 pieces in this kit.

Glad that it works out for you Ron.

oooo, new start date.  Awesome.  I should be done with my Cobra helos by then.  Nothing like building 3 1/35 Cobras at once.

Very good gentlemen.

Would anyone care to submit an idea for a Group Badge? Of course it should contain the Italeri logo as the prominent theme. Thanks.

Hi Eric,

I am still in but I am currently busy and yet without a kit. However, I am thinking of doing the RSO with a PAK 40. I may not start on time, though as I still am in the process of completing a diorama and 2 kits.Smile [:)]

But I am always reading the GB thread.

Great Dwight, I'll add it to the main page. If you decide on something different, I'll change it.

Only 8 days to go!

We have great variety here too, hardly any dupes. By the time were done, I'm sure some of us will be picking up more Italeri kits.

I've read the review for my build, and it's totally positive! All i'm gonna' need for it, is some PE latches! Oh, and maybe a new set of resin rims! Big Smile [:D]

I'll definately be buyin' some more Italeri kits, after i've done this one! Wink [;)]

Just got my kits UPS today and as this is my very first armor build as well as my first Italeri purchase, I couldn't wait...so I opened both the Humvee and the M1A2 and I am impressed with the quality of both kits. I think I'm going to re-mark the Hummer with Iraqi Police markings (my son is over there and has sent me some photos), and maybe build the tank oob.

Can't wait to start!!

I too am ready (kind of) and am itching to get this one started. I'm hesistant on if I should get some kind of detail sets as I have never done photoetch or resin before. Any opinions?

Thanks Steve. I like it, simple and to the point. I think the smaller is closer to the standard size of GB badges. Maybe something in the middle?

As for the GB Badge, there are different opinions on how we use it. Some feel it represents what we work on as a group and others feel it should be earned when your build is completed, much like a merit badge in the scouts for example. Since this is a hot-topic button, I'll leave it to the individual.  I myself never take one until I finish a build. That's why I have only one. The other no longer exists (Stug build). Thanks.

Does everyone like Steve's badge?

I think it should be earned, as a result of completin' a build! It's much more meritorious, that way! I think this badge is cool, looks right on! Big Smile [:D]

I too think it should be earned and by the way. I really like this badge simple and tothe point but it's also pleasing to the eye.
