Thanks Pawel and Hunter.  Like I said, it was an enjoyable build.  I am glad you got something out of the postings too.

Hello Gino!

Your Bradley looks really good! Like all good models it's very educational, too - like you can learn many interesting details from it (that plate under the razor-wire coil...). Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your next projects - have a nice day

I have finally completed R65, C Co, 3-15 IN, 2 BDE, 3ID, OIF 1 Bradley.  I weathered it with acrylic craft paints using a burnt umber pin wash, a yellow-sandy color overall wash, then selective shadowing with a graphite pencil.

Here is the finished product.

Thanks Gamera.  The pin-washes will be part of the weathering.  I hear you on the "King Richard" referance.  I almost snuck an "STP" decal in there somewhere.Big Smile

Hey Gino she looks pretty darn close to the photo, and a few pin washs on the bolt heads should be more than enough.

I am tempted to make a Richard Petty joke about the vehicle number though....

Hi Pawel - Thanks for the compliments.  It will be weathered, and will have depth to it.  I haven't even dull coated it yet.  After the gear goes on, it will all get weathered together.  I'm sure you could do an interior just as well.  Give it a try.

I still haven't decided on how much gear to add to it.  I have completed 9 sets of rucksacks, duffel bags, sleeping bag stuff sacks, and various other items.  I also folded 10 MRE boxes and 10 water bottle boxes.  The tracks are done and I have a couple rolls of concertina as well for the front.

Here is all the gear I have prepared for it.

Hello Gino!

Your Bradley is looking very good! It can be plainly seen that you know the Bradley very well. I know you usually disagree with it when I write it, but still I think this model just begs for some colour variation. Of course the real thing shown on the photos is very clean, so no excessive weathering here, but it sould use something to make it just a little bit more "three-dimensional".

Beautiful work, I wish I could make a similar interior on one of my models some day, like the M113 for example. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

I haven't posted in a while, but I have been working on the Bradley, slowly.  The snowy, cold, crappy weather had slowed me down since I was about ready for paint.  I did get it painted with Testors Model Master Sand (FS 33531).  I have also applied home-made decals to it.  I decided to mark it as R65 (C Co, 3-15 In, XO's Brad) as seen in the above pic going under the highway sign.  C Co vehicles were remarked with R bumper numbers since there already was a C Co in TF 1-64 (C/1-64 AR). This vehicle has a couple unique features such as the FBCB2 antenna on top of the GPS and a light added in front of the TC.

Here is another pic of it.

And my version so far.

Next up is the tracks and some gear.  The actual Brad only had a 3-man crew and no dismounts, so there was not a whole lot of gear on it like most had.  I think I will use a bit of artistic license and put a full compliment of gear for 9 guys on it (3-man crew and 6 dismounts).  That should fill it up well.

Looks great Gino, definitely loaded with detail, can't wait to see the paint bring everything together. I hear you about the snow, these 55/60 degree days certainly help get rid of it quicker.
