Hetzer - Final Report: "I'll call it Finished".
I reported last weekend the setback to my Hetzer due to "friendly fire". I've pieced it back together, attached the antenna and applied decals. After some additional minor weathering I took it outside to take some photos. Trying to add a bit of scenery to the picture, I got too much scenery on the model, which stuck solid since I had just finished spraying a flat finish on it. I worked pretty hard to get the running wheels looking good, but you'll never be able to tell since they covered up by the scenery. In any regard Mr Tigerman Sir, I submit this vehicle to the Italeri Group Build battalion, and will await further orders.
I have a couple more Italeri model kits - Elefant and a Jagdpanther, plus I just purchased a 1985 Testors M108 Howitzer (picture below) kit. I'll be finishing the M18 shortly and move on to a new project. There's plenty of time to enter another model into this group build I think. So I may be back in a little bit.
