Italeri Group Build Sept. 1, 2006-Jan. 15 2007

I just figured that kids are back in school and most are done with their summer vacations.

Thinks for reminding me of that dreaded place Im going to.

Well anyways I'm in Oregon and today I went to the hobby shop and picked up Revel's F-106( I'm not going to screw this one up lol) and Italeri's swS/ Gerat71/ w/ Panzerwerfer.

rob  i  have one 1/2 done and it is real nice except for the large lump on the tailend of the turret you must remove at least the edges. the box will fit better and hide 80% of it

That's good to know Rob. The Esci kit was a nightmare at best. Straight to the trash.

So far everyone has got different kits. That's cool. Many great subjects out there.

No, the Italeri Demag is a slightly different vehicle than the old Esci Demag. I have the Revell of Germany boxed version of the Italeri Demag (troop carrier/prime mover) and it does not have anything in common with the old Esci kit I built in the 1980s.

I was just wondering I saw this group build "Wheeled Warriors" and I wanted to join. But I told you I couldn't join yours, which I really wanted to, because I didn't think I could finish in time. Well I went into the LHS looking for an Italeri kit you listed in one of my post and came out with the Opel Maultier with Flak 38! It looks like a fun little kit. Well any way I was thinking I could join both GB ( Wheeled Warriors, and Yours) because it has tires (Wheeled Warriors GB) and it is made by Italeri (Your GB).
So wha da ya say? Is this acceptable?

Hmmm, maybe I'll join this GB too.

Though, it must be a quick build.  I have several Italeri models waiting to be built : Pz IV F ; Pz IV H ; jagdpanzer I ; RSO with PAK40 ; BT5 ; commando jeep ; Elefant ; 122mm soviet howitzer ;120mm mortar ; Sdkfz 234/1 ; kubelwagen and, still in an old "italaerei" box, BM-13. 

But, before this, I must finish my Revell PT117.

LOL.  I have built the M-923 in the past, so I know what to expect from the kit.  I plan on leaving the shelter top off the 925 and adding a scratch built 5th-wheel hitch.  Then comes the fun part.  a scratch built 80-ton transport trailer.  I got the idea from the one we have on base.  Its a military tractor, but the trailer is civilian.  we dont have any of the Oshkosh M1070 /M1000 combos.

I can only go by the ones I built:

• Chaffee
• M4A1 Sherman
• Crusader I, II, III
• Duece and a half
• Many Russian tanks, but unsure of their quality.

There are some Fruils for the M24. T72E1 Early type tracks. Dont know if that's what you need though.

Ok all set. My mom said she'll buy me a model in Oregon or California. So I'm going to restrain to just getting an Italeri since I have to mow the Lawn 6 times before I'm done paying them back for my LAX stick.
