Well, I suppose I should add the progress for my build in here.  This is the 1/35 Italeri M-109A6.  It has a resin interior [top and bottom].   I've got the bottom completely finished, and then the behemoth seen in the background took over the workbench.  So once its finished, I can turn my attention to the turret.  So far I have hinged all the doors/hatches on the lower hull as well as the travel lock and the rear spades.

That would be the Trumpeter 1/35 CH-47A Chinook.  I've finally got it to the decaling stage.  I can see the finish line.

also working on a tamiya same tank i like the italeri better though. you can see it in the backround of my pics. i like working on the same type of model at the same time, even if diff manufacturers i work as if on an assbly line even slower builders can put out a couple more models a yr this way.

Hey Tigerman,

I'm new to the forum and this group build caught my attention. Can you use a new member that has a Crusader Mk.II sitting on a shelf collecting dust?

Tigerman and esteemed fellow armormaniacs,

I just created a user account for my son Michael (13) to enable him to personally participate in the forum and particularly in this GB thread.  He's at school still (football practice) but he did tell me he wanted his forum name to be "Sherman Shepard" .

While dad (me) has made about 1% progress on the Hetzer over the last week, Sherman Shepard completed the Chaffe (still needs to paint it though.) and has started on an Italeri Elefant I just got for him on eBay ($8 and in excellent condition).

I'll have him introduce himself by sending a note on his progress.

Very impressive Larry & (Michael)  Sherman Shephard. Looking forward to the Chaffee. Nice steal on the Elefant too.

NucMedTech, welcome and glad to have you. Sorry to reply so late, I just got home. Late day. I love the Crusader (built the mk III.) I look forward to review and build of the Mk II. I'm honored our GB inspired your 1st post too.  Smile [:)]

Late edit. We now have 30 members, I think we lost one, and almost as many different topics. Now that is diverse.

Great, I'm finnishing Dragon's SdKfz 163 Hummel (first time with individual track links. They look great but, man, what alot of work) so I'll get started on the Crusader this weekend.

Mayday! I lost a return roller to my Marder III. I'm pretty sure it must have washed down the sink. If anybody has a spare one from an old Pz 38 or similar, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

This should give an idea of the idiots whom decided that the pin marks should go on the top instead of the bottom which nobody can see. These parts stunk. They are on the rear deck next to the shell basket or whatever it's called.

Bleah,

The Stinger Hummer project is officially off.  After finishing the frame/transmission assembly, I began to start up body construction.  One side of the body was a full 1/2" shorter than the other, which is why the tailgate assembly wasn't fitting right... not a scale 1/2" a real one... so I ditched it... but will be starting the LAV-25 TUA this evening.

Sorry Matt, that's pretty ridculous being so off. I've never had a piece fit that bad. I'll change your entry.

Still need a return roller if possible. Thanks.  Smile [:)]

Ouch!!

Italeri do seem to put the sink/ejecter pin marks in some awkward places.

Yes, they do. Thank goodness I posted the picture, I see where I missed some holes that had to be cleaned out from putty. I had to clean many holes out. So far the hull has fit nicely with no putty. Just the inside of the shields, whatever those two pieces are, and the gun & cradle.

Good work Terry, you got further than I did before I took mine back to the LHS.
It's a pity it's such a bad fitting kit really because I like the subject and think it'd make a nice display piece all weathered up.
Like I said in my mail the owner of our LHS gave me a refund but also gave me back the kit as all he'd do with it was put it in the bin so I may get back to it and finish it off.

Thanks Guys I just stopped for a day or two to get the new Revell Germany Millenium Falcon done, I got it for  €40 about  $50US, I always wanted a proper kit of the Millenium Falcon but just can't afford the £179Sterling being asked around the net for the Finemolds offering. The finished results are over on the Science Fiction section at the moment.

Now I need to get back to the Sahariana and the fox. And then get back in touych with the good brother treadwell to finish the big T34.

Thanks again for the encouraging words,

Regards,

Terry.

I made a little progress on the Demag this weekend. Besides pin marks and sinkholes I've got parts actually shown assembled backwards in the instructions. Thankfully I don't use much glue because they had to come off, get cleaned up and reinstalled. Anyway, it's a little fiddly but it's going together. I mocked it together for some pics.

I found a picture of the Demag in a book and it's hauling a Nebelwerfer42, the pic shows a large box on the back, I'm assuming it's storage for the rockets, so I think I'll try my hand at a little scratchbuilding.

Well here's where I'm at upto now. This is my first time using a full etch set so it seem's to have taken me ages getting to this stage.Just waiting on the etch rear fenders to arrive in the post then I can crack on with the paint.

Forgive me Customizer, it looks great so far, but I'm curious why you camoed only the wheels? It would have seemed easier to do it all at once.

Comet, you're coming along nicely. I wish I was to the painting stage. Getting there.

Customiser and comet, looking good, I agree with doing the wheels first as it kills a boring part for me at the start,(most of the time) and comet photo etch is a very addictive extra, origami for modellers.

Looking Good guys,

Regards,

Terry.
