Looks pretty good.  The tracks look loose though.  Same technique as discussed before will fix that problem.  He did a good job on the ROK MERDC paint job.  The only other issue I see is that the Commander's Thermal Viewer (box in front of the TC) should have a view glass on the front side.  It is a box that contains optics.  Other than those items, it looks pretty good.

Yes, very nice indeed.  I've been struggling with the same kit for the past several months.  Now all I have to do is paint it.

I'm also in the middle of that "kit" and I hope mine turns out that well. It's surely one of Trumpeter's more feeble efforts. I'm also in the middle of one of their KV-1's......what a difference.

Maniac, looks alright here man.  Though I do have one question.  I looked at your site and you stated something about having soo many models built within 5 weeks.  I'm wondering if Art Instructor is rushing these builds now instead of doing you a just service?  I say that because the lenses on the optics painted blue really look bad!  The blue over the silver is the right idea, but it's got a syruppy look to it and looks like a child did it.  With all the other issues being brought up with Art Instructor, I'm wondering if he's rushing to get paid!  I'd address that with him if I were you.  Not very artistic looking if he's got clumpy paint on models...  The cammo looks great though!

Many thanks for your kind comments, compliments and suggestions! I really appreciate them!

Arty, I don't quite understand your explanation about how to join the tracks, but never mind. I'll just tell AI that I want tighter tracks, he'll have to find the way to do that. You're right about the thermal viewer. I look up the instruction sheets and see a transparent part missing from there. I'll ask AI about it.

James, I also stated that now I have more modelers working for me. It's not Art Instructor alone. In fact I have four permanent modelers :
1. Art Instructor - builds armors & dioramas (has been building for me for 7 years)
2. Niphon - builds warships and warplanes (about 3 years)
3. Joh - builds 1:16 figures and figure-based vignettes (started late last year)
4. Tuk (AI's brother) - builds all of the above except armors & dioramas (started this year)
And there's one visiting modeler named Chakraphad who builds mainly for my friend and builds for me from time to time. He builds warplanes, copters, warships and armors. My latest page contains three pieces from him - a warplane, a copter and an armor.

I agree with you that the optic lenses look bad. I got the same comments on other site and some suggestions too. Now I have some ideas to pass on to AI about how to improve on this part.

PS. I'm about to go bankrupt soon commissioning too much jobs and buying too much kits. 74 days have passed for this year but I have already bought 104 more kits - that's more than a kit a day. This is not sustainable for sure :(

Why don't you sit down and build a few yourself?  That would slow your buying down.  Maybe you would appreciate them a little more as well.

Maniac, I understand about the number of people you have building, but I still wonder about AI...  Here's what I do with the tracks.  Tell AI to leave the side skirts off and paint them separately, if he does that already then that's cool.  With the skirts off, you have a better idea of how the tracks look on the tank and make any adjustments.  As for shortening them, it's as simple as tightening them up while holding them... before any kind of adhesive is used, cutting them to be shortened and stapling them together after the adjustments are made, if staples aren't kosher, then thread, glue or whatever.  I don't know how much more informative Gino or anyone else can be on this, it's pretty straight forward.  The skirts once on will hide any use of staples to bond the tracks together after being shortened/tightened.

Pretty much the exact info I gave him before.  Seems simple enough to me too.
