panzerguy - looks good to me, I like the figures; ditto the wood handle comments, was wondering if it was real wood!

   Dupes the fig's are tamiya I found them at my LHS on the display rack in a little plastic bag the card said that thier from the waspe kit.

    Jmart,  doc-hm3 I used acrylics to paint the wood. I first painted them black then gave them a coat of dark redish brown then a wash using black enamel after that dried I dry brushed them with a liter shade of brown followed by another wash and more dry brushing.

     The M-18 was used by many different countries after the war, and many of them used different camo schemes. I have a color template of a Croatian M-18 with a leaf pattern and I've seen a Columbian (I think it was) with a striped pattern. I've got Squadron's Tank destroyer walk around which has some pretty good interior pics. If you like I can try to scan them and post them here if you like. Although my week is pretty busy so I probably would not be able to do this until the weekend.

Thanks for the images and link, although the link isn't working.  I REALLY want to do that white one, but my siphon feed doesn't have the control needed for it.  I did just buy a brand new gravity feed, I've had it less then a week.  I just used it on a model, and took it apart to clean it, and when I unscrewed the nozzle I got it just about a half a turn out and it sheered off inside the body.  It's 29 bucks for the nozzle, and 118 for the body.  I paid 82 and some change for the airbrush, hose(which I was told I needed and I didn't), and shipping.  , so I'll probably get stuck with just the green. 

This also halts another project dead in it's tracks.  I can't do the camo scheme without that gravity feed.  Unless I can find someone to loan me their gravity feed, but I ain't holding my breath.

     Was looking at some drawing's of my Marder in one of my book's and noticed something I had'nt seen before. The travel lock has what look's like a shock absorber on it do'nt know how I missed it.The kit do'snt include this part so more scratch building.

         Since the paint needed to set for a couple of day's and still waiting for my track's I spent some time on my fig's.

Bummer! Mind you, some brands of airbrush, such as Badger, have side-feed cups, which, in effect, convert syphon-feeds to gravity feeds. They also have the advantage of making cleaning easier, especially between colours, and wasting less paint. Can you get a side-feed cup for your brush?

That'd be sweet if you could do that.  The weekend is fine, I'm not ready for exterior paint yet.  I have more parts I have to glue on first.  I also have a turrent I need to assemble.

Here's the progress that I've made so far. The tracks are next. I don't know if I should stay with the single color camo or add some red brown also, what do you guys think? As I've already said before , everyone's builds are looking GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

panzerguy-your Marder is OUTSTANDING.  Looking forward to the finished product.

To everyone's work that I've failed to comment on-a lot of first rate builds here.  You guys are all setting the standards.

Tigerman-My Marder remains unstarted.  I've managed to paint myself into a corner with three previous committments that are coming due soon.  The Tamiya kit looks to be a pain free build, but with a lot of detail and potential of doing more detailing.  It's a kit that I would like to take at least 4-5 months to work on to try to do it justice. And check out the May FSM & the article on detailing a Marder M III.  Therefore, with your permission, I would like to withdrawl the Marder and substitue a 1/48th Tamiya Hetzer (assuming that my LHS still has one sitting on the shelf ).  I'll update you with the status of my shopping adventure tomorrow. If it's not ok, then I'll revisit after I complete the 3 open builds and advise.

My opinion is not to put on the redbrown.  I like how it looks w/just the green

   Just found out that the model kasten track's I ordered are out of stock and the company has no idea when the'll be getting more in so I cancelled the order, real bummer would have been done by the end of the week.Been looking all over for them but it look's like everyone's out of stock even tried to see if Dragon might sell just their magic link's.If anybody know's were to get some it would be a big help.

Well, no pics as yet. But I got the base green on the little 1:72 Su-100. A gem of a kit.

Next up, some panel work to pop out detail.
