I have contacted Dragoncare on three occasions so far and been possitvely surprised every time.
New drawings, new parts and they even offered to replace my track set for my T1 early.
That is excellent customer care!

Here is the latest update of my M10.  Got the interior done and weathered.  I used just he AFv PE set in this build so far.  Will be using the Armoscale brass shells for on the ready racks.  At least when I get that far.  Other than those two sets I am building OTB.  I really hate injector pin marks.  I also finished most of the lower hull.  Only have to put the suspension on.  Waiting for painting on that step.

   Well I had all day to myself so I was able to get a bit of work done on my Marder.It's pretty much done, a few touch ups some crew equipment and replace the kit track's and it'll be ready for a small dio I have in mind.

Love the white wash on your Marder.  Your figures are an inspiration.  They really convey the climate.  I should now it's still cold here

Superb, the figures really do convey a sense of sub zero with nasty wind chill.

Panzerguy - that there Marder is pretty awesome! Wish I had been able to abduct you to get this one in Winter Warriors, but Tigerman got his claws in you first... Heheheheh.

The figs came out great, REALLY digging the exhaust - how'd you get the "textured" appearance on it?

  Panz88  The white wash was done using the hairspray tech.Found a toot on it and decided to give it  try.Yes they are footprint's

I feel so small and pitiful. He finished two builds before I completed the lower half of mine. Man, I'm slow. Sadly, it's more to be being tired from work than anything else. 

Hey Tigerman, before you start to feel tooooo small and pitiful, consider 2 things - a) I don't have any kids to slow me down, and b) I certainly haven't cut into my modeling time with cycling as of late - this is my driveway 9 days ago, I think:

Being cooped up in the house and not riding has certainly boosted my production rate.

Panzerguy - no problem. I had originally hoped to snag all three badges, but I have a LOT of other GB's ending soon I need to wrap up first... May not be able to get to that Hellcat. We'll see what I can do.

That sure is pretty though. We never get anything like that here in my neck of the woods.

My work hours are horrible and by the time I get home, I'm usually exhausted. I couldn't get motivated last week. Yes, my daughter does keep me hopping, though she is almost 12. My wife on the other hand, keeps me plenty busy. LOL 

Very nice work on your Marder Panzerguy.  Beautiful! 

I'm really starting to like all the cool armored vehicles based on the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) chassis.

Secondary question (and totally off topic! ) I see you play a bit of golf...ever make it down to the course at Fort Lewis in Tacoma? Used to play there allllll the time when I was in the Army - had to be one of the best military courses I'd ever seen!

I work for the largest newspaper in the NW, the Oregonian. I work in Ad Production. I do numerous jobs, besides building the ads from the sales department. My favorite job is working on half-tone art. You should see some of the crap the accounts send in. We used to build most of the ads when I started, but now most of the grunt work  is done by agencies.

Like many newspapers, we are a virtual monopoly in the metro area, we are slowly dying, losing much of our business to the net and tightening of the wallets. Many figure we'll be history before we reach retirement age (22 more years LOL). I truely hate it anymore. Yearly raises have all but disappeared, retirees not being replaced and best yet, buyouts for the newsroom. Both my wife and I are considering career changes (she is in advertising).

As for hacking, er golf, I go more for the drink and comradree. LOL I've played many courses in the Portland area, but am not that great. I more of a softball player for my company slow-pitch team. I'm pitcher and enjoy it imensely. My bones are getting creaky though (45 later this year), so my days are getting numbered. Have you played at Tri-Mountain near Ridgefield? That's about 6 miles up the road from me.

Here's a little more progress, I have the tracks on. I'll be adding all the little bits now like tools and spare links and such, then on to the weathering. Thanks Manstein, I think that I'm going to leave the camo as is. I also have to add some touch up work here and there also(missing paint on hubs).Sorry about pics, did in a hurry before going to work.

Been off the boards for a few days, I see there are a few pages to read!

Progress report -- I have my Trumpeter Type 89 TD to the major subassembly stage, about ready for progress pics, and earlier thought I'd take a look at how the tracks fit... They don't. They're the proverbial half inch short! And the drive sprocket attachment is very weak. Well, the vinyl is beautifully detailed on both sides and has some stretch, so I'll hang them up with weights to see if I can get some extra length from them.

My overall impression is that Trumpeter were still developing their technique when this kit was engineered, there are many small parts, many assemblies which would have been single castings for easy assembly if it was an early Tamiya, and some plain oversights, like tracks too short. I'll see what I can do with them, but the fit is impossible at the moment.

Yeah, I second (or third?) the leaving the camo. No reason to mess with a great job like that unless you're planning on highlighting or fading the green patterns.

The consensus around my office, is yes, someday newspapers will be extinct. I live in a green state and I'm sure all the environmentalists would love it. Our paper, like many others, has it's own website. So, in a sense we compete with ourselves sometimes. Also, many of the younger generation is growing up with computers and don't read the newspapers. I mean why would they, when you can get all your info on the web anymore? Heck I'm guilty of it at times myself.

Of topic but:
I cant wait until my paper copy of FSM arrives.
And yes, I know it since I allready had a peak from this website.
My daily newspaper is on the web but I have not let go of my subscription.

A sunday morning without a Morning Paper, no way!

I think it is rather the "free", advertised payed for, giveaway papers that are killing the daily newspapers.

Maybee you do not have them in the states but there is a shitload of them here in Europe.
