Let me say that your work is GREAT!!  But, with that said, do you think you weathering might be a bit overdone?  I'm working on the same kit and none of my references show a M20 that weathered.  Please don't take any offense to my comments.

I finally got to you Jesse.

No offense taken at all.

My theory is that this is just "a moment in time" and does not represent any particular vehicle. The image “http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/1535/2centsfinalci9.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Lack of a picture (within reason) doesn't mean it couldn't happen.

Besides, with all the variables in daily living, The image “http://stat.livejournal.com/img/mood/ibrad/rollingeyes.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. (not to mention the unexpected surprises of a war zone) I don't think it would be too unreasonable to see something like this late in the war.

One of the "Fun" things about armor to me is the "artistic" aspect. If a hobby isn't fun, well, The image “http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/boese/d062.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. it might as well be just another job.

I appreciate your compliment and respect your observations.

Thanks

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I certainly suffer from this problem...one reason I try to build fairly quickly. You seem to have overcome it, though, with a completely consistent build - everything looks right throughout! Great stuff!

Looks really good Steve, even thou I'm not a fan of a soft skin AFV, but this is one is definately a winner.

Forgot to add-- as my dad was passing by, he couldn't stop oggling at the worn varnished finish on the benches.  Took me a solid five minutes to get him to beleive they weren't photographs of the real vehicle.

DM, you've lived up to your name with this one. Lots of nice detail to draw the eye on both the interior and exterior. Thumbs Up [tup]

One small suggestion I would make is to consider replacing the stowage ropes with something more in-scale and in keeping with what it's securing. The twine you've chosen is more like ship-hawser thickness vs. a normal tie-down rope. Check your local Hobby Lobby or similar craft's store for something called crochet rope, I think you'll find that it's size and texture are a much better medium for replicating what you're looking for.

Thank you Bill,

http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-17099.gif It's the same string/rope I used on Reich Raider. The diameter is .028 which for 1/35 scales out to .98 (almost an inch). I guess that would still be a bit on the large side but, http://planetsmilies.net/confused-smiley-17432.gifwhat the heck, that's all these guys had (ha,ha,).

As for the future, I'll check out that rope you suggested.

http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-541.gif Thanks for your comment as it is appreciated.

Sat down at the bench to celebrate the end of exams with some work time, popped online for weathering inspiration, and got hit with this!  Truly incredible work, the weathering is absolutely perfect.  I rarely see interiors as more than the space behind tiny open hatches, but the worn metal floor, ripped stuffing, wire, first aid manual, and of course, worn varnished seat, make the interior as much a masterpiece as the outside.  Outstanding work from every angle.

disaster -

I'm sorry I have taken this long to look and first I LOVE you prelude. You have a never ending supply of smilies.

The M20 looks great. Lots of dirt...dirt good. Chains and dirt....kinky. Evil [}:)]

The interior was a nice job also. I like the damaged seat. The only thing I might have added inside is some spare ammo cans for the M2...but then again once the can is closed its hard to see.

I understand and feel your pain on time...I too grab what I can here and there. A build could take 3 - 6 months. Hummm, based on that my stash will last until I am 84....just part of my investment for my retirement!!

No matter how long it takes, if your having fun, that's all that counts!!
