Very well done disastermaster. I wish I had your patience and skill. My only suggestion is to blend the tire carvings down with the rest of the tire, because they stand out a bit too much. Otherwise almost a perfect build. Make a Toast [#toast]

Gee, it's a shame you turned a real M20 on its side like that. Where's the model? I thought this was a "Scale" Model forum.....as in "miniatures".....

Yeah, those SUV's are a bit top-heavy but I'm gettin' the feel for it......

I'm flattered by your indirect compliment.....thanks!

Let me say that your work is GREAT!!  But, with that said, do you think you weathering might be a bit overdone?  I'm working on the same kit and none of my references show a M20 that weathered.  Please don't take any offense to my comments.

Stunning, absolutly stunning, One of the best weathered model I've seen. Great job.

the bottom looks familar, looks alot like the bottom of my quad.

And again, fantastic build.

Steve,

It seems that your work has inproved alot since the last build. Looks like this one you use a different approach with the weathering ?

Looks really good Steve, even thou I'm not a fan of a soft skin AFV, but this is one is definately a winner.

DM, you've lived up to your name with this one. Lots of nice detail to draw the eye on both the interior and exterior. Thumbs Up [tup]

One small suggestion I would make is to consider replacing the stowage ropes with something more in-scale and in keeping with what it's securing. The twine you've chosen is more like ship-hawser thickness vs. a normal tie-down rope. Check your local Hobby Lobby or similar craft's store for something called crochet rope, I think you'll find that it's size and texture are a much better medium for replicating what you're looking for.

Awesome job.

Howdy Wirraway,

Thanks for the applause. I hope this encourages and inspires everyone. Patience is everything.

Right now AOL is giving me trouble and I'm at an alternate site (no smiley's, sorry) but, maybe, this evening things will be back in order.

Steve, there is nothing I can add to describe how fantastic your build is that has not been said already. However,  I do hope the folks at Fine Scale have noticed it also. Looking at work like this can make a person see things they didn't think of, or notice, before .
