I built the Monogram '59 Cadillac Seville Brougham and before I painted it, I noticed that the roof had texture on it. It was a vinyl roof top and the roof had a slight warp to it, too.
Tonight, i tried my hand at creating a set of exhaust tips made from styrene. I used two pieces of 1/8th inch styrene tube and two short lengths of 1/16th inch rod glued together. The rods fits into two holes I drilled in the molded chassis pan exhaust and the molded tubes have angle cuts made with eye-ball engineering. Now to paint them up!
More Barracuda to come...
Those look great! You should make them and sell em!

Thanks Lee! I never thought of making these exhaust tips for public usage. It was so easy to make them in the first place. This is something to think about.
I on occasion have used plastic qtip tubes covered in foil.
I have seem those plastic Qtip tubes, but I would have never thought of using them for exhaust tips. Great idea!
That's a great looking model that you are working on. Nice color.

Let's See;
I need two dozen. Did you say $2.50 each? Oh, well in that case I'll take six individual units! Those are awesome!
Thanks JohnnyK and T-B!
Just to clarify, my exhaust tips are not for sale! They are very easy to make!
I Know That!
I just had to rib ya! I do the same since I discovered Evergreen Tubing!
Coming along very nicely! Looks like challenges are getting a little easier to overcome. Nice work!

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
T-B, just as long as that is all you are doing!
Thanks Jim! I just need to finish this Barracuda with decals and I am done.
I coated the Keith Marks Decals with two coats of Microscale Liquid Decal Film. I'll let this dry for a day or so and then start decaling.
I applied the Keith Marks decals to the '68 Barracuda. Now it is finally done!
Great job Mike. Good looking model
Thanks,
John
This is my '68 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 383. It is painted with Model Master Bright Calypso Metallic with a white interior. The interior has a console and automatic transmission from the Revell '68 Hemi Dart. The Shuey wheels and tires are from Pegasus. The engine compartment has side panels from an old MPC chassis. The decals are from Keith Marks.
A few more...
