             Could you have gotten any Redder? That is certainly unmistakeable to my vision. Again, a wonderful job!! I like the tan interior especially!

Lovin on it over here !! As I  said in another post, the 57 Chrysler lineup has a place in heart from times past.That's Chrysler Dodge and Plymouth. Your build replicates one example well !

Yes ,in order for the hood to close,they had to angle the air filters downward     

Yes, that is a very interesting set-up indeed. Don't believe I ever saw one like it except for a street rod with a jaguar engine that had side draft set-up.

Adding some Underhood details. 

Ok I mounted the body to the chassis.I decided to mount the interior tub first followed by the chassis.Fit was generally good ,but I had to put the tub into the front first and carefully pry the tub to fit the slots in the body .The chassis required clamps to mount securely. 

Actually it is the AMT kit!

       Is that the Jo-Han Kit. Cause yeah, the exhaust can't be run without some surgery.

Interior coming along..

I think I will make a custom exhaust because the kit supplied pipes interfere with the torsion bars ...I am thinking of using solder.

Back in the Day;

      Our neighbor had one of the 56 Royal Lancers-Fully loaded! 2dr ht! Geez! whatta car. He was always leaving twin tire marks off the light at the end of our road. His wife had one of those that had the "Women's" package?? neat cars always.

Engine and chassis assembly...

I thought for sure my Dads Custom Royal blew it's engine but he said no. So much oil smoke it was crazy. But he took it in to a garage and they cleaned the top side of the heads under the valve covers and blew out the oil return passages and all was well again. No more smoke.

Different engine than the Custom Lancer I believe, it was non hemi, Something on the order of 320 ci, 4bbl carb and dual exhaust. I remember it had a heck of a hole shot from traffic lights. Impressive for such a big car.
