Well I'm new to the forum and just wanted to show some of my models that I have completed. Let me know what you think.

Great job. Your scratchbuilding expertise is quite evident. Keep 'em coming!

Nice lookijng chopper. I am about to do something similar using the Tamiya 1/6 scale FXE1200. I want to make a hardtail frame from scratch myself. I hope to get some good pics of a wide belt primary and scratchbuild one. I was thinking about making the tank and fenders from hammered brass. I'm in the process now of healing from a motorcycle wreck this past June and have just begun learning to walk again. I'm still in the wheelchair most of the day, but getting stronger everyday. I just finished building the Tamiya 1/6th scale Police bike and FXE1200, both box stock. The police bike took third at the Baton Rouge contest this past weekend. Not too bad for an aircraft modeler's first try in a new category I guess. Can't wait to start on the new chopper and you gave me some more inspiration now.

Lee,

You aren't the first to say that. The others, though, weren't kidding. They are a bunch of guys I fly online with and don't know a lot about models so they have an excuse I guess. I had to post another picture of it while it was being built so they could see that it was a model. That was my first large scale Tamiya motorcycle. I did the Police one shortly after. I'll tell you, these motorcycles sure have been just what I needed to get my modeling hobby back on track. I hadn't finished a model in so long, I can't remember the last one I did get all the way through. In the last three months, I've started and finished seven motorcycle kits. I've done three 1/12th scale Tamiya kits, one 1/8th scale Revell snap tite Harley that impressed the heck out of me, two 1/6th scale Tamiya Harleys and I'm almost through with an Aoshima Honda Dragar Chopper style. Oh, and I did a 1/6th scale Airfix skeleton that looks awesome all weathered looking that I plan on having sitting on the chopper I want to build and have on display at a buddy's biker bar. He loves the idea and wants me to put both of the other Harleys in a case there too, with the chopper. I told him as soon as I finish the contest circuit with them in June, I'll build a nice case and hang them there. I built the bar he has and now I'll have a little more of my fun work to show there. Here's a pic of some of what I've done since the wreck three months ago.

Man, your bikes are amazing! I'd like to get into doing bikemodels. Got any to trade?

Lee, I would love to trade models with you. There's just one problem, I have absolutely no will power and as soon as I get a model I start messing with it. It's not unusual for me to have a half-dozen models going at one time. I really wish I could save some for when times are too hard to afford to by new ones. I'm trying to find some PE stuff now for motorcycles and I think I hit paydirt while surfing a little while ago. I'll let you know if it works out if you are interested. OH, and thanks for the compliments, but the camera does hide some of the flaws. The 1/6th scale police bike by Tamiya I just finished took a third this past weekend at the Baton Rouge contest and the FXE in the picture didn't even place.
Here's a picture of the police bike, please excuse the mess, I'll take some decent pictures as soon as I finish our moving to the new house.
