Here the the airfix 737-200with a mish mash of decals to create the aloha funbirds of the 70's-early 80's. I had a hard time with the main set of decals since they were so old that they started to disenigrate.

Cute little bugger, the old 200's are kind of overlooked now, but were the beginning of a true success story for Boeing. I think by now they must have set a record with 737 production, there are so many versions flying they practically fill the air worldwide.

Very nice build, thanks for the post and photos.

Well done!  That's the scheme that lost the roof, isn't it?

Looks great!  You did a great job rescuing those decals.  What is the paint on wings and belly?

Would that by any chance be the old Microscale set? (He asks...gulping in horror because the same sheet is waiting in the stash....) I ask because the a/c no. is the same.

Thanks Don,

The paint on the wings is a mix of gunze aircraft grey and white. I tried to mix it as close to Boeing grey as I could. All the chrome is the molotow chrome paint.

The decals are the old microscale sheet. I had to use 2 of them. And they both did the same thing. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

Bone, as a 737 pilot, you did a fantastic job. Really enjoyed seeing your guppy.
