Following up on my Mr Choppers post, this is Sparky.

Also an Airfix 1:72 P-51D. IIRC, this one was the TopGun2 boxing which is the same plastic as the other Airfix P-51 kits (except maybe the F-51). Photos of Sparky show that she retained her gun fairings.Painted in Reaper MSP Misty Gray, the instructions call for silvery gray. MSP is a paint line largely used in the fantasy figure world and is excellent for hand brushing. I thinned it with Vallejo Thinner and Flow Improver for airbrushing. I have found that the Reaper Burnt Iron color is excellent for painting engine exhausts. It is a mildly metalic bronze finish.

Again, Draw Decals for the markings. The entire side, from rudder to engine cowl is one decal image. The image was cut into pieces and trimmed closely before application. MicroSol & MicroSet were used, along with some Walther's Solvaset in trickier places. Sealed with some Testor's Gloss Coat, well thinned for a satin finish
