Gloss black fits pretty good for something like that. Will be watching the progress.

A quick and dirty dash board - front seat controls area. Some of it is from the M113 kit and some is scratch built.

Now the tracks are too long so I cut 19 links out.

Then used the stapler method .

At the moment, it looks sort of like a Steampunk version of the SHADO Mobile from Gerry Anderson's UFO series.

Progress continues because I still need to get paint on this little dude.

I decided to make it a grave digger as well. A hearse/digger vehicle. The digger will be a cable operated shovel mounted in front of a similar design to this one: http://www.hcea.net/Default.aspx?pageId=1493429&id=10109172&dh=184&cppr=3

The parts were cut from the chassis of the Vanpire.

dry fit assembly of the shovel system.

The shovel was built from the front seat of the Vanpire kit. Parts and bits were modified and added for the hinges etc

The pulley for shovel articulation was made from one of the wheels of the casket trailer

I'm stoked the way this worked out.
This part was chucked into my drill driver and turned with a small round file to get that round channel for the cable (following pictures)

Thanks for looking in, Eagle90 !

Current status of the hearse. I cut off one more wheel section to shorten the lower hull. Then flipped it around backwards. I think it fits the upper hull cab well and starting to actually look like something

Thanks for looking in.

The bottom hull was too long so I cut another road wheel section out.

It's shorter and fits under the upper hull cab much better now

I want to build something quick for Halloween this year so I dug out these kits. The M113 is an old crusty already built thing and the Vanpire is a new re-release.

box art sprueone

I cut down the lower hull of the M113 and put the Vanpire cab on top as the upper hull.

This is sort of what it will look like
