I'm happy to announce that not only will I have an image in the 2018 Star Trek Ships of the Line Calendar, due out this August, (of my 1/350 TOS award winning Enterprise) but I just recently had a new piece, Again with Jeff Summers doing the composite work, accepted for the 2019 Calendar as well. This time of my 1/350 Refit Enterprise! I can't thank Doug Drexler enough for reaching out to me and wanting to include my 1/350 Tos build in his Calendar! I am sincerely humbled to be a small part of the Star Trek family!

Here are two more examples of my Engine Pod effect based off the original 11"2" filming model during production of the original series...I wanted the correct scale effect (you shouldn't need sunglasses to view it)I also adjusted the speed of the fan blades, again per the original effects.

Here's a short video showing the actual 11'2" miniatures engine effect(on the left) and my recreation on the right. It's based on a scene from the epsiode "The Doomsday Machine". Thanks and enjoy!Big Smile

I received requests to post some pictures of my personal 1/350 Enterprise build...just sitting on a table(yuk!)So without further ado, I present these boring images with no imagination. My apologies. Again, using my reference material of the filming model as it appeared in the series as well as new reference material from the beautifully restored 11'2" Filming model. Many thanks for the requests and enjoy!

I refined my engines per the 11' Filming model as it was seen during the production of the series. I adjusted the fan speed and added more lighting inside the nacelle cap.

And a beauty shot of the model...

I refined the model a bit per the new info on the 11' restored miniature. Instead of boring bench top photos, I like my builds doing their thing...So I put her in space.

After viewing the 11' restored miniature, I was pleased that I am very close to the real engine effect!
