Flagship Models 1/192 scale USS Chimo Ironclad Torpedo Boat

I needed to build my latest model kit for my box art, so here it is.  I won't attempt a review, as that should be left to others.  I will say it is a OOB build except for the rails, base, and crow's nest rigging.  You can see a brief history (it's really interesting) of the Chimo here:  http://www.flagshipmodels.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=126

That is one really nice model! Wow!

What are the two white pedestals forward? Ventilators? What is the metallic pipe on top of the after one? Is it solid?

The two pedestals forward are indeed air vents.  I have no idea what the pipe on top of one of them is.  It does show up in a very good photo of the ship, so I included it.

It's probably the chimney for the Galley stove.

No, there is a galley stack located located on starboard side of the crow's nest.
