Hmmm.

What I am doing is building other " Bird Farms " till I find an Enterprise with the " BeeHive Island  " !   I want to get her as launched .She looked so unique ! The sad part is the only one I've seen is way outside my budget ! T.B.          P.S. Speaking of unique , I now have the Heller release , Charles De Gaulle .This ship is unique too ! The island is rectangular and in the forward third of the ship !

Where did you get the fork trucks from? Also, the hanger bay would looke great lighted. What do you think? Great job so far.

Done with the hangar bay. The hard part is the island. Back dating a 1960's island is going to be hard. Post next week.

Thank You! I won't put 15 aircraft in the bay just enough to make it look busy. Beside you won't be able to see much when the flight deck is on.

I am most impressed! Excellent work! I plan on contacting Shapeways to create replacement islands for the Italeri 1/720 Forrestal class ships, forward sponsons to convert one of them to the Ranger in both the 1/720 and the 1/800 kits, as well as other details. Shapeways is great! Bill

Started on the hangar bay aircraft and equipment. Maybe about 15 aircraft and a few equipment inside. Post Monday.

Well the Connie will be the Kitty Hawk CVA-63 1963-1966 Nam service. WHY? Because Trumpeter just put out the Connie with the cruve aft sponsons. I order from Shapeways the cruve sponsons from them. I had to cut and sand also made sure everything fitted just right. Now Trumpeter puts out Connie with the cruve aft sponsons. Man,I tell you. So with the decals I have as the Kitty Hawk I won't be spending money on getting decals for the Connie. I wish these companys tell us what's coming the pipeline sooner.

Prime the port side. Look at some corrections that need to be made. But it still looks okay.

For what it's worth - Trumpeter has just announced a 1/350 Constellation. How much difference there will be between it and the JFK kit I have no idea.

It figures. It just figures! Miss Kitty is sitting on the shelf and I'm brainstorming how to find alternates for numbers/name and THIS! Oy Vay!!!

Just google a lot of photos. Some were useless others just did help out. I just got word tonight that the cruve sponson on Connie were made. Going to order from Shapeways now. No sir I will not light this one up. Maybe J.F.K.

Really nice work!!  What are you using for references?

Also looks like a prime candidate for some lighting inside that hangar bay.

Just put in the hangar deck. Starboard side not much detail because of the port side aft opening. Waiting on the older sponsons for the missile launchers from Greg of Shapeways.
