Thanks for the close-up shots.  Hull looks good. Caulk the lines, ballast the hull and I bet she floats perfect.

 Looks like you'll be done with the Lower hull planking and can get to the Gun decks. Putting in the Gun ports will be informative for me. Will you Plank around them or Plank the full hull and cut in the Gun ports?

Thanks for the post Nino.  As to the " caulk the lines ", When the port side is finished from gun deck to keel--I will : paint the out side of the hull with glue to seal it up.  Then paint the the inside of the hull with marine epoxie to seel it against bilge woter . oops--forgot.  All the decks come out the back.  Then file off the glue on the out side to smoth the hull= my eyes have gotten week and the collar change of the glue on the wood helps me due this.  Then I will glue in the lower gun deck with the locations of the cannons marked. Then plank the sides of the lower gun deck.  Then cut the holes for the the cannon ports.  And THEN-plank the " inside " of the hull.  Then repeat this prosess for the upper gun deck--and so on.  Thanks agen for the post Nino.

That was quick work.  Let us know how you start the gun port cutting.  With my poor measuing  I'd end up with one of those "ribs" in the middle of a gunport.

Nice job with the glue on the outter hull. Seems to have filled the seams.

I have an old can of Brush-on filler that's gotten thicker over the years. Fills grain and small cracks but sure won't give any strength to the hull.  I like your method.

 You gotta be doing this in a van . Kinda like me when I go to a LEGO event .Build it in the car . I could do that in my Kia Sedona van but , not in my Kia Soul. I still miss that "Breadbox". Finding another has been impossible .Folks just ain't parting with them .

 I got " T " boned in mine and it was a total writeoff .I wish that BMW driver had been watching what he was doing  ,instead of talking on the phone !There were LEGOS everywhere !

Good to here from you Nino.  I have several ribs whair gun ports will be. That's why I stoped planking when I reached the deck above--at this small scale, it's very hard to get in thair and cut away thows ribs.  The glue on the outside of the hull only seels it until I epoxie the inside.  Then I use it to help me file the outside smoth, as the collor change from glued wood to bair wood is easier for my week eyes to see.  And here is one plank glued and one plank pined and drying on the starboard side.

 That oar port and gunport work is great . A lot of folks don't know that early on , Many ships were fitted with the oarports to maneuver the ship in Becalmed or Low Wind situations and in a port if needed .Nice work .

Hi Nino--I mesure and mark the spaceing from port to port, then I use a thin plywood templet with the two lower gun ports an oar port, and one upper gun port cut out, to lay out all the cannon ports and oar ports.  Then I cut them open with an exato knife.
