The picture of the ship I am scratch building is the first picture at the top of this page.
As a scratch builder of model sailing ships, I am interested in the subject of your post. However, there is not a picture of the proposed ship that is to be built. Is this print that ship in question ?

Thanks--Marcus McBean, this one is much smaller than my other scratch built wooden ships--it's a reel chanenge--but I am enjoying it very much. My other models are on the old thred warshipguy started for me in July of 2012 titaled"sailing ships" Please look it up and vue it. But don't post to it--that pissess the people here off.
I don't know anything about building sailing ships but I would say you are off to a fine start by the looks of it.
Now I will begin padding the backs with 1/8" bass wood, to make a serface to glue and pin the hull planking and decking.
